  2. Hi all - Generic question - is there a reason to prefer a RAID HBA running in IT mode rather than a plain old SATA controller card assuming that we're using SATA disks? Specifically - I have a Vantec UGT-ST655 that seems to be working fine, but people keep telling me that there are some unseen problems to be aware of and that I should return it and get an LSI HBA flashed to IT mode. Is there an advantage, in general? Thanks in advance!
