  1. They have im assuming they suffered being across pool and array as you warned about here, but i cannot find them on both now. Thanks for your response.
  2. following a power outage lasting longer than my UPS battery, some of my vdisks for my VMs have gone. Any idea on recovery methods?
  3. I gather this is the documentation on the how: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/shares/user-shares/#moving-files-from-the-array-to-a-pool-cache ? I'm learning here so your guidance is appreciated @JorgeB. How do I change domains to shareUseCache="only", which is what I gather is also required for better performance of VMs/Dockers? (couldn't find this)
  4. I have UNRAID Version: 6.12.6 How to increase domains share size? I understand VM's disks are created in the system share: /mnt/user/domains and due to the number of VM vdisks I am near the limit of the domains' share, in fact if I fill it too much the UI becomes unstable, luckily I had the terminal open to remove my last vdisk creation. my system's domains share: - primary storage is array - with array with ~7TB free - Allocation: High-Water, included disks: all - no secondary storage so no mover - yet, in user shares, when i click compute to the domains size the ssd (i only have one for cache) appears under domains, where the array at 11GB free and the ssd have 811GB free, with a size on the array and ssd line of 322GB. I have searched the documentation and forum (and web/AI) for guidance with no joy. Help and assistance would be appreciated.
  5. sorry going south in my background means not going well. yeah we are aligned on the potential (and probably likely) flaw.
  6. thank you @rutherford i am listening. My worry is once i get roon ripping running the music lookup goes south with some of the odd listening tastes i have and i go back to manual apps... (but anyhow i learnt more about docker on the journey so far, with roon playing in the background) so i tend to think you are onto something.
  7. whats the problem with the Roon CD Ripping extension? do you have experience of it or followed threads on it, i thought id give it a drive and find for myself, but glad to hear reviews. (dbpoweramp is what im replacing)
  8. thank you @rutherford i have been backing up my CDs with other means for years. now im bought into Roon i want to rip direct into the Roon collection/db which its CD ripper tool will do just fine, thats if my Unraid capability permits it.
  9. can anyone help me with this topic to get my optical drive in Roon-Server docker working.
  10. thank you for the tip. I have previously done this and went through the whole thing, no-one has touched this topic so far. I will reply on that thread with a link to this post.
  11. Im trying to get the Roon CD Ripper extension but struggling to find the optical drive on my Unraid host machine where the Roon-Server docker is running well. (the roon extension manger is on a Unriad hosted VM (same host)) My research has indicated i need to use the --device docker run option in the Extra Parameters section of the Unraid roon-server docker configuration. So virtually connecting the drive to the Roon Server direct. The options I tried that take and still let the roon-server docker run are: --device '/dev/sr0':'/dev/dvd':'r' --device '/dev/sr0':'/dev/cdrom':'r' --device /dev/sr0 --device /dev/sr0 --device /dev/sg3 --device /dev/sr0 --device /dev/cdrom you will get the jist, i have tried a few others that fail too. The CD Ripper extension stalls at the setup stage of configuring the drive asking for a CD to be inserted. ever hopeful for some ideas and direction.
