7.2.4 tried to upgrade, it said USB drive is gone, restored from backup, reflashed, now it wont boot....
for some reason the syslinux folder was empty in my cloud backup! I flashed 7.2.4, grabbed the contents of syslinux, restored my flash drive from the backups (luckily it had the CFG's) and copied the syslinux folder over to it then ran the makebootable.bat as admin.... finally back up and running.... smfh

7.2.4 tried to upgrade, it said USB drive is gone, restored from backup, reflashed, now it wont boot.... why did I even touch it!? God dammit so fkn pissed...... Tried to upgrade 7.2.5 but that didn't finish and it said USB flash drive was "corrupt or gone". had no issues with it before. So I reflashed it with a restore image from unraid connect. Now it does not boot at ALL. WTF!! HELP!

Changed CPU pinning of a VM that is running and it deleted the VM?!
I am on the latest non beta version and it completely deleted the VM I had on DISK2...... nothing there. The domains folder is there but it totally deleted my home assistant folder with the VM in it...... WTF? Why did this happen? Nothing in the logs from what I can see..... LUCKILY I had a clone of it that was only a bit older than a month on another disk so I was able to recover most of it...... insanity why did this happen? And what can I do to take scheduled snapshots of these VM's?

Unraid stalls (freezes) during the files copy (write)
Had this issue and it turned out to be dedup was enabled. I figured I had enough horse power to do it but I guess not 8x 14TB SATA 6Gbps drives in RAIDZ1 4x 2TB NVME M.2 for main array AMD EPYC 7532 32 Core / 64 threads 128GB DDR4 3200Mhz RAM 3090 GPU Passthrough I wish Unraid supported GRAID!

LSI 9500 series 16i tri-mode PCIE 4.0 with Supermicro SAS3-826EL1-N4 backplane Unraid Support?
I just realized I need a Slimsas cable between the U.2 ports on the motherboard to enable PCIE Slot 7?? I'm not sure if this is needed if I'm using 2x m.2 drives that are on board though.....

Extreme disk backlog when mover or other heavy IO load? 50+ seconds
I have 9x 14TB 7200RPM SATA 6 drives in a RAIDZ1 group and 4x 2TB NVME disks for the main array and one 2TB nvme cache disk. Whenever data is moved between the NVME array (the main unraid array) to the zpool, IO wait shoots up to 50% and disk backlog is also insanely high. Is this normal? what can I do to improve this? The rest of the specs: AMD EPYC 7532 32 Core 64 thread CPU 2.4Ghz 128GB DDR4 3200Mhz RAM Gigabyte mz32-ar0 Rev 3 motherboard LSI 9500 16i HBA connected to a sas3-826el1-n4 backplane using 2 ports on the backplane.

Can I rearrange drives in my server without causing an issue?
I have an LSI 9500 16i controller, does it care if I move things around to balance out the chassis on my SAS3 backplane? Or should I just leave it alone?

LSI 9500 series 16i tri-mode PCIE 4.0 with Supermicro SAS3-826EL1-N4 backplane Unraid Support?
So right now i have the 74 pin Slimline SAS to Mini HD SAS going to the backplane which is working. I have both connections to the black connections on the backplane. I'm assuming that is all I need. I don't yet have any U.2 drives as they're pretty expensive. Eventually I will though probably.

LSI 9500 series 16i tri-mode PCIE 4.0 with Supermicro SAS3-826EL1-N4 backplane Unraid Support?
It appears that the only card that would work for those supermicro cables is this one but it's not worth spending $800 on it. This is the broadcom 9460 RAID card - which I don't even need a raid card with unraid..... so I guess the rear slots will be inop But for the front SAS3 backplane, which supports NVME u.2/u.3, can I use the same cable above to plug into the white ports or do I only need the one plugged in? Right now I have one 74 pin cable coming from the card to 2 HD Mini SAS 4i SFF-8643's into the SAS3-826EL1-N4 backplane...

LSI 9500 series 16i tri-mode PCIE 4.0 with Supermicro SAS3-826EL1-N4 backplane Unraid Support?
This is the rear NVME 2.5" drive slot. it requires a 4 pin molex for power and 2 sata ports and that 8 pin connector. I guess I won't be able to use it with the LSI 9500 16i

LSI 9500 series 16i tri-mode PCIE 4.0 with Supermicro SAS3-826EL1-N4 backplane Unraid Support?
CBL-SFF8643-SATASB-06M L5-00220-00 0.6m ü is the closest thing but I do not see one that has the 74 pin Slimline SAS on the other end. Never seen that 8 pin cable along with the 4 SATA ports... that is the type of cable that came with my chassis. Also what is IT mode and do I need it?

LSI 9500 series 16i tri-mode PCIE 4.0 with Supermicro SAS3-826EL1-N4 backplane Unraid Support?
The only issue I have is this Supermicro 826 case has the 2 NVME drives in the rear that has a SFF 8654 to 4x SATA and some odd 8 pin cable... no idea what kind of cable I can use to bring those drives online. ? The LSI has the 74 pin: Using this cable to connect to the SAS3 expander:

LSI 9500 series 16i tri-mode PCIE 4.0 with Supermicro SAS3-826EL1-N4 backplane Unraid Support?
HI I ordered this card along with the cables to attach to my SAS expander, will this work for unraid? My motherboard is GIGABYTE MZ32-AR0 Rev 3.0 with an AMD Epyc 7532 128GB RAM and 6x 14TB SATA drives along with a handful of m.2 NVME. The motherboard has many SAS/SATA ports but none of them work directly to SAS expander so I'm hoping this controller will work? Any ideas? Thanks!
