  1. Today you have helped this lost soul. Thanks for the fix!!!
  2. I have a beautiful Docker Compose file that fires up Gluetun and any app that I want tunneled. However, this requires Portainer to be able to get to Docker Compose. I was toying with the idea of just instaling Gluetun from the Apps in Unraid and then figuring out how to point other containers to use Gluetun's network in order to have them behind a VPN. However, this is turning out to be more difficult than I anticipated (compared to the Docker Compose file I use) and was needing help. Once I have the Gluetun container up, how do I connect other containers to it? I tried to get QBittorrent to work, but I'm not able to access the webUI, presumably because it is being tunneled. I used this in the extra parameters field: --net=container:gluetunvpn (where "gluetunvpn" is the container name of Gluetun). Is there an easier way to do this so that I can get to the webUI of these tunneled apps?
  3. I created a ZFS pool yesterday with 4 14TB hard drives and everything was working great. I shut down the server today so that I could move it and when I started it and went to start the array, the pool is now unmountable. The error says: "Unmountable: Unsupported or no file system". Any ideas of what's up with this and how to fix it? I'm glad this is happening on a new pool because I have nothing on it, otherwise I'd be very nervous. Thanks!
  4. Thanks. I do agree that it does not seem suite for external exposure. I did export the shares, but I can't see them unless I go by IP.
  5. I've been testing Unraid for a couple of days and I'm very impressed. I think the UI is the best out of the bunch and I really like how so far everything just works. That being said, the latter seems to be because everything is running as root. My understanding is that from a security perspective, this is a no-no. Additional users only serve the function of controling access to shares. How do people navigate this, especially if exposing parts of Unraid to the Internet (containers, VMs, etc.)? Additionally, the one thing I have not been able to accomplish is to get Unraid's shares to show up on the Windows network tab, like my Synology NAS or other network drives. Why is that? I can access if I use something like \\IP_ADDRESS or \\hostname, but I can't get them to show up in the tab.
  6. 100% agree. However, my server is in a place where nobody else has access, so it is not a primary concern. Regarding form factor, this is just a cheap way to evaluate Unraid. I would likely look for something with better heat dissipation if I were to put it in prod.
  7. For those looking for the same thing, Best Buy is currently stocking the SanDisk UltraFit 128 GB for $15. This is the smallest form factor I could find and the boot imager wrote to it and is working fine. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sandisk-ultra-fit-256gb-usb-3-1-flash-drive-black/6182934.p?skuId=6182934
  8. What do you guys recommend for rack mounting this Topton board. I'm waiting to get mine, but have not yet decided if I should rack mount it or get something like the Node 304. I'll need to use a minimum of 4 3.5" HDD.
  9. Hi everyone. I'm new to Unraid. Currently on TrueNAS. I'm looking to switch and was trying to get the free trial going before encountering the issue of a USB stick that does not have a unique serial number, despite it being a "high end" stick a few years ago and purchased at a reputable retailer. Can anyone recommend USB storage that is known to work with Unraid and is currently in stock? Thanks!
  10. New to Unraid and trying to get a free trial going only to find out that my USB drive is blacklisted. This is a SanDisk Extreme Pro, purchased at B&H Photo (a retailer that knows a lot about gray and black markets, counterfeits, etc.) Now I have to buy another USB drive to see if I can get this going. I might have missed it, but I wish there was a list of models and approved retailers published by Unraid.
