  1. Turned bridging off as per the below, but still no change. @JorgeB any ideas? ipref results both ways with Driver Plugin and Bridging off. but
  2. Sorted this be clearing teh network.cfg file! Back to slow speeds again haha
  3. Pretty confident - other desktop on Wifie 6E has the same results. Was just tring to turning bridging off as sugegsted in another post, added the router to eth0 and now unRAID is inaccesable. Think I've just bricked my entire NAS...
  4. Just done a both ways ipref and still the same with the Plugin and a New Cat5e Cable - 4 pairs.
  5. Hey All, I 'think' i'm getting slow transfer speeds from my Desktop to UnRAID (NvME Cache) - approx 50 - 60 Mbps. UnRAID is connected to router via 2.5 Gbe ports and shows as 2500 Mbps, full duplex, mtu 1500 in Unraid. Ran iperf, and Bandwidth only showing between 168 to 181 Mbits/sec. How do I improve this? alfred-diagnostics-20231123-1244.zip
  6. Did you get any help with this? Mine doesnt even show the 15 day extenstion and Im in the same boat, was waiting till next week to grab a license.
  7. Does this still work? I dont want to risk stopping my array without being able to get it back online. I'm holding out for Cyber Weekend sale!
  8. This has become an issue again. Im now on my THIRD drive! All drives fail in Disk 1. Drive 1 - Seek Error Rate of less than 30. RMA'd and replaced with new device. Drive 2 - Seek Error Rate of less than 40. RMA's again and replaced with another new device. Drive 3 - Been in overnight and Seek Error currently at 92 and dropping, even with no data being used/pulled from the Array. I'm losing my marbles! @JorgeB I heard you run lots of Toshibas. Any thoughts? I just cant understand why its always Disk 1 thats failing and not my Parity or Disk 2.
  9. 2nd Failure just occured *insert crying gif here* Do you think the fact I'm using my NAS as a Media Server has anything to do with it? For clarity, both disk failures have been Disk 1.
  10. Wish I'd have seen this before buying N300s... Bought 3x 16 TB. One failed SMART with a Seek_Error_Rate, so bought a 4th so I could swap out and RMA the 3rd. Still waiting for the RMA to come back, but the replacement drive I bought is now extremly close to the threshold and I'm worry thats going to fail on that test too! It's not even been online for more than 4 days!!
  11. I absolutly loved builidng my NAS in the 804 - Highly recommended!
  12. Curious what everyone's expereince with the N300 is like? I've got a total of 4, all within 30 days old. One already RMA'ed due to Seek_Error_Rate passing 50 Threshold, and another currently running pretty close to the threshold. Are they just pants and should I avoid the N300's in future?
  13. I use iCloud Drive Sync - its in the community store. Not sure about folder structure, but 100% worth taking a look. I just dump all of my iCloud pics to a folder for backup really.
  14. I used to use crappy external SSDs for all my data, so I wanted to build a NAS (because you get more bang for your buck with specs) than buying a prebuilt, like QNAP etc. The thing that swung me to UnRaid was the ability to have Dockers. TBH, I didn't know I needed any until I looked through the community apps. Now I have a Minecraft Server, FileZilla, Plex, AdGaurd Home and an Automated Speed Tester, to name a few. I'd run independently on my desktop for most of the above, so having them on 24/7 on my build in a docker is just amazing. I can't imagine my home setup without it now. You won't regret it!
  15. Sorry to wake up an old post, but how did you get on with these @dacunno? I've bought a total of 4 N300 16 TBs. One failed with Seek Error Rate 2 weeks in, the replacement is now in, and has been running for 3 days - but again, its pretty close to the threshold. Are these just crap drives? Should I look at a different brand?
  16. You sir are a legend. You've answered my inital question, but just for clarity around Parity - I assume it continually writes to parity and the 'Parity Check' is just a fail safe to ensure Parity is accurate? Is that correct just so I understand how Parity works?
  17. Thanks for the advice - last Parity Check was 10 days ago, should I rerun the check before removing the drive? In terms of moving the data for redundancy, is it just a case of manuall moving everything from /mnt/disk1 to /mnt/disk2 or am I missing something here?
  18. Hey All, Unraid's just flagged up that Disk 1 (which is only 2 weeks old) has a SEEK_ERROR_RATE issue with the status FAILING NOW. What does this mean? And what should I do with the Data on that disc? I have Disk 2 which is empty. DO I need to manually copy data from D1 to D2? I was under the impression that I could just remove D1 and replace with a new drive, and the data would be recovered from Parity? Logs attached. Thanks! alfred-smart-20231021-2102.zip
