[PLUGIN] GPU Statistics
I should've added that I'm on Unraid 7 trying to monitor an ARC A310 GPU while I transcode some files in tdarr. I removed and reinstalled the plugin at least three times minimum. This time, I reinstalled the plugin and changed the timeout to ".7 1.9" and it's working, kinda. On the dashboard, the GPU panel displays then goes away. This behavior is the same from when it was working previously.

[PLUGIN] GPU Statistics
On the Unraid dashboard, GPU panel displays "Vendor command returned unparseable data." I was following this thread trying to figure out how to get it working again. It was working fine for a while but I'm not sure what happened that broke it. I noticed something "odd". When I'm on the Unraid dashboard, if I reload the page then quickly scroll down to where GPU panel is, it will briefly show some graphs as if it were functioning normally but quickly goes away.

SSD Compatibility Unraid 7
This is good news, I was using PM1633 and PM1643a drives with a LSI9400 (Lenovo 430-16i)

SSD Compatibility Unraid 7
I have not tried the beta. I was running Unraid 6.12.11 when I made the switch. What was the situation with the SAS drives? What firmware are you running on the PM1633's?

SSD Compatibility Unraid 7
A few months ago, I installed ~10-14 PM1633 and PM1643a and the performance was limited to ~50MB/s. After talking to @limetech, we determined that the kernel was most likely causing the issue. Since then I switched over to TrueNAS Scale and i'm not all that happy with it. I want to go back to Unraid but wanted to ask if anyone has some of these drives to see if the kernel has been update to better support these drives?

Moving Data To TrueNAS NFS Share: "Operation Not Permitted"
I was able to fix this error. Simple fix: in TureNAS, go to sharring -> Unix Shares (NFS) -> 3 dots next to share -> edit -> Advanced options -> under maproot user select "root" -> save then unmount and remount the share in Unraid.

Moving Data To TrueNAS NFS Share: "Operation Not Permitted"
I mounted a TrueNas NFS directory using unassigned devices plug in but whenever I transfer data to the share I get this message saying not permitted. RSYNC, NFS and SSH are enabled in TrueNAS. ACL's set for everyone with full control.

SAS Drive Firmware Update
I read on the STH forums that FMDELMZILS3T8HCJMCQPJ_NS could have multiple files inside? Am I supposed extract the folder to get the firmware inside?

SAS Drive Firmware Update
I believe I found the firmware on STH (FMDELMZILS3T8HCJMCQPJ_NS). I put this file in "/mnt/zfs/temp" cd'd to the directory and excited "sg_write_buffer -m dmc_offs_save -I FMDELMZILS3T8HCJMCQPJ_NS.bin /dev/sg14". Nothing happened. I presume that the new firmware is "QPJ" but smartctl -i /dev/sg14 shows no change from before and after. I rebooted the server and also added ".bin" to the file name with no luck. Do I need to physically remove the drive for a full power cycle?

SAS Drive Firmware Update
I was not aware of this and it good to know. I didn't mention it in my OP but I have searched around extensively for the process to update firmware (the update tool and firmware itself) but I cant find either on this drive. I presume you have done this firmware update?

SAS Drive Firmware Update
I have 11 MZILS3T8HCJM SAS SSD's that I have been working with @limetech to figure out why these drives read/write at only ~50MB/s. If I attached the same drives to a Windows VM, they perform at ~900+MB/s read/write. It seems it's some sort of kernal/driver issue that even Unraid V7 doesn't support. I also have two more drives that look identical to the 11 others except that they are a different model number, MZILT3T8HBLS that seem to be compatible with Unraids kernal. These two drives perform much better at 800+MB/s natively. These two drives are NETAPP branded drives with firmware versions NA01 and NA03. My question is, is it possible to flash my other drives to the NETAPP firmware or a different, compatible with Unraids kernal firmware?

12Gb SAS Drives Only 45MB/s
I passed the HBA to the windows VM and tested a few drives. Results are closer to what I expected and what I would expect Unraid to be able to do. It just seems that Unraid is missing something to be able to use the drives natively. Can someone chime in on what I should do?

12Gb SAS Drives Only 45MB/s
I attached two slow drives at random to a windows VM and ran crystal disk mark on them and the here are the results. Does this mean my issue is coming from Unraid itself? Windows can write to the same disks many times faster than Unraid. Unraid writes at 49MB/s and windows writes at 6,600+MB/s?

DISK SPEED CONTAINER SHOW 3 HBA'S BUT ONLY 2 ARE INSTALLED
I have 2 HBA's installed but when I use disk speed docker container, it shows 3 HBA's other than the the MB controllers. Is this normal? I have a 9400-16i and a 9300-16i. I'm asking because I'm trying to solve an issue with all but two of my 3.84 TB SSD drives read/write at only 45MB/s. Just trying to see if this could be related or not. tower-diagnostics-20240810-2224.zip

12Gb SAS Drives Only 45MB/s
The two drives that currently make up my zfs pool and are not slow turn out to be the same model (MZILS3T8HCJM) drive but show up as NETAPP..... This leads me to believe that the issue is a firmware issue on the the drives that im having issues with. Thoughts? Does anyone know if it's possible to to flash the drives to a different firmware?

12Gb SAS Drives Only 45MB/s
So today I looked at all the benchmarks of all the drives and recreated my zfs pool with only the drives not giving issues. Afterwards I pulled all the drives that were slow and realized all of them are the same model drive, "MZILS3T8HCJM" seven of the nine SSD's that made up my zfs pool were this mode of drive. The other two drives are a different model and don't have any performance issues.

Is there a way to to see if the drives are causing the issue?

Need Help Updating LSI HBA
peace-keeping-villa8590 replied to peace-keeping-villa8590's topic in Storage Devices and ControllersThe management package comes with several variations of the utility for different distros of Linux but Ubuntu (.deb) and Linux (.rpm) won't install. After work today I'm going to install windows on the spare drive and see if that works better since the .exe "should" install.

Need Help Updating LSI HBA
I'm currently trying to solve an issue with certain SAS SSD's having slow read/write performance. I have a LSI 9400-16i that is on version 9 I believe. I looked on broadcom website and the newest version is 24. I looked online and everyone seems to use a avago utility to update the cards but the 9400 doesn't have the same utility. The 9400 uses "storcli" to update the firmware but I can't seem to get this it to work. I tried the freeDOS bootable USB but storcli won't run in DOS mode. Then I tried a full install of Ubuntu on a spare SSD but I can't get storcli installed. Since I'm updating the 9400 HBA, I was going to update my 9300 HBA that's also installed in the server. I just need so help on how it's done.

I'm trying to upgrade the firmware on my LSI cards and go from there.

12Gb SAS Drives Only 45MB/s
Could it be the drives themselves? Nothing I can see the SMART data is a red flag but my knowledge is limited.
