  1. Thanks folks Appreciate all the help. Shall run memtest as well. I had the old XFS file system and converted to ZFS one disk at a time. Had no idea I should have done some other stuff. Can someone please point me to the best practice when using ZFS? I have a 2 parity drive UNRAID Version 6.12.4 2023-08-31 with 13 data drives.
  2. HI all, Happy New Year! I see this message under the disks tab pool: disk2 state: ONLINE status: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data corruption. Applications may be affected. action: Restore the file in question if possible. Otherwise restore the entire pool from backup. see: https://openzfs.github.io/openzfs-docs/msg/ZFS-8000-8A config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM disk2 ONLINE 0 0 0 md2p1 ONLINE 0 0 28 errors: 35 data errors, use '-v' for a list I did a -v and checked the files it says are damaged - the files work fine. There is a button saying SCRUB - what does it do? What should I do at this point? Thank you Daytona

  10. Thank you - what does a scrub do?
  11. I do run a parity check once a month. How does one "scrub" the disk?
  12. Thank you for your help Jorge. Couple of follow up questions: 1. Is ZFS the right file system to use today - my server has been evolving for over 20 years and I just went to zfs from reiserfs 2. Are there any maintenance tasks I should be doing because my server is now ZFS?
  13. Good news is - that drive may have been empty - I just converted all my drives to ZFS a few months ago and moved thingss around.
  14. That does bring Disk 5 back - but it looks empty. Oh boy and I have to travel for work so I cant work on this till Friday. Arrgh
  15. Thanks trying that. What do you think happened here? a ZFS issue?
  16. :~# zpool import pool: disk34 id: 11401036432785416006 state: UNAVAIL status: One or more devices contains corrupted data. action: The pool cannot be imported due to damaged devices or data. see: https://openzfs.github.io/openzfs-docs/msg/ZFS-8000-5E config: disk34 UNAVAIL insufficient replicas sdc1 UNAVAIL invalid label

  21. Hello all! Thank you in advance for the help. What is the purpose of the setting Minimum Free space? in Share Settings. After I converted my drives to ZFS this setting seems to have defaulted to 188GB . Just on SOME shares. Which is weird. Thanks again
  22. Totally worked. THANK YOU. Any idea what caused this and how do I prevent this? also should I execute this commend ever so often? Planning to move to 2x NVMI 1TB soon - with ZFS. Any advice? Thank you
  23. Thank you - I also noticed the SSD's were reporting 100 degrees temp. I stopped the server to let everything cool down - think my network closet may need some more cooling. @JorgeB could you please point me to any primer on BTRFS recovery? I am not a linux maven have learned along the way - been using UNRAID for like 25 years now. Love this tech and it makes me learn new stuff. Thanks again
  24. Hi all, It's been awhile. Server has been working great for so many years with zero issues. Looks like somehow both my mirrored SSDs (running BTRFS) for my cache which also holds my docker stuff crashed at the same time. Any chance of a recovery? All help is appreciated. Thank you in advance. Diag info included. theoracle-diagnostics-20240506-0741.zip
