Notes about Supermicro X11SCA-F
I don't want to necromance an old thread but did anyone have success in passing through the iGPU to a Windows 10/11 VM? I haven't done anything and it works out of the box for a Ubuntu VM but not when using Windows 10. The GPU gets recognized and I can install drivers but as soon as I try to use the connected monitor with a passed through USB peripherals it just stays black. I don't even see the dreaded Code 43 when I use VNC. But I can't get any output. I have seen a few threads about the P630 and haven't found a fix yet.If anyone has an idea let me know. thanks guys

What is spinning up my SSD?
So a restart fixed the issue even when Docker is enabled. But I am pretty sure it was Plex that is responsible. But since I don't really need Plex I uninstalled it and so far everything is calm.

What is spinning up my SSD?
Something is spinning up my SSD all the time. I first thought it was Plex and Docker but after disabling it, it still happens. I didnt have the issue before and it started after I installed the linuxserver.io Plex container yesterday. How can it still affect my drive if the Docker container is disabled? I see small writes of a few kilobytes every other minute but I don't know what it is.

Constant rekeying between two Unraid servers with direct file transfer using scp
I haven't tried rsync but since my network also seems to be very unstable I think the issue lies somewhere else. My Mikrotik 10gig switch is plugged into a QNAP QSW switch which is then plugged into my pfsense firewall. I wonder if packets travel through these other instances slowing down my traffic? Or would they not interfer? I will investigate on the weekend and come back.

Constant rekeying between two Unraid servers with direct file transfer using scp
Hello guys, I am having issues when trying to transfer files from one server to another. I am not sure what the issue could be here. I use this command scp -r -v /mnt/user/Files [email protected]:/mnt/user/files/ Every few seconds I see a file not being fully transfered and then rekeying like this: scp: debug1: truncating at 758589451 videoname.mkv 43% 364MB 167.2MB/s 00:02 ETAdebug1: enqueue packet: 94 debug1: SSH2_MSG_KEXINIT sent debug1: rekeying in progress debug1: SSH2_MSG_KEXINIT received debug1: kex: algorithm: sntrup761x25519-sha512 debug1: kex: host key algorithm: ssh-ed25519 debug1: kex: server->client cipher: [email protected] MAC: <implicit> compression: none debug1: kex: client->server cipher: [email protected] MAC: <implicit> compression: none debug1: expecting SSH2_MSG_KEX_ECDH_REPLY debug1: rekeying in progress debug1: rekeying in progress debug1: rekeying in progress debug1: SSH2_MSG_KEX_ECDH_REPLY received debug1: Server host key: ssh-ed25519 SHA256:mykey debug1: ssh_packet_send2_wrapped: resetting send seqnr 33311 debug1: ssh_set_newkeys: rekeying out, input 18486600 bytes 61481 blocks, output 33282631932 bytes 134188907 blocks debug1: rekey out after 134217728 blocks debug1: dequeue packet: 94 debug1: SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS sent debug1: expecting SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS debug1: ssh_packet_read_poll2: resetting read seqnr 22388 debug1: SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS received debug1: ssh_set_newkeys: rekeying in, input 18486612 bytes 61482 blocks, output 33282664720 bytes 4098 blocks debug1: rekey in after 134217728 blocks videoname.mkv 100% 845MB 213.6MB/s 00:03 scp: debug1: truncating at 886474691 Has anyone experienced something similar? [Plugin] Intel-GVT-g
It works in Windows. I am mainly using Linux so I was looking for a way to remote desktop into the VM through that. But all good. Thanks for the help

[Plugin] Intel-GVT-g
Can you recommend a remote connection software for linux that works with gvt-g? Also do I need to set the GPU to virtual, no GPU or the iGPU inside the VM Settings?

[Plugin] Intel-GVT-g
Does the iGPU work when you use VNC? Currently the iGPU P630 from my Xeon 2124G only works on display 1 apparently and I am on display 2 (VNC). When I watch a YT video it stutters and CPU usage is high and iGPU has no usage shown. The intel control center only shows one display as well but not the one I am on. I don't want to set it as primary display and loose my connection since I don't have RDP access. Is there any way to make use of the iGPU through VNC?

Well it worked after all with 06:00.0. Maybe I wrote it wrong. No idea

I could use some help for ASPM Helper. I set the ASPM for the suggested devices and it worked great. I still have one device that is saying but I can't figure out if this is my device or my root 00:1c.7 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH PCI Express Root Port #8 (rev f0) (prog-if 00 [Normal decode]) LnkCap: Port #8, Speed 8GT/s, Width x1, ASPM L0s L1, Exit Latency L0s unlimited, L1 <16us LnkCtl: ASPM Disabled; RCB 64 bytes, LnkDisable- CommClk- because there was also 04:00.0 as device and 00:1c.6 as root. but when I go through my output of lspci I think 00:1c.7 is the device not the root. How would I find it's equivalent here? I think it's related to this? 06:00.0 PCI bridge: Tundra Semiconductor Corp. Device 8113 (rev 01) (prog-if 01 [Subtractive decode]) -[0000:00]-+-00.0 +-01.0-[01-02]--+-00.0 | \-00.1 +-02.0 +-08.0 +-12.0 +-14.0 +-14.2 +-15.0 +-15.1 +-16.0 +-17.0 +-1c.0-[03]-- +-1c.6-[04-05]----00.0-[05]-- +-1c.7-[06-07]----00.0-[07]-- +-1d.0-[08]----00.0 +-1e.0 +-1f.0 +-1f.3 +-1f.4 \-1f.5 But For 00:1c.6 it was 04:00.0 If I put now 06:00.0 as device and 00:1c.7 as root it does not work This stuff goes over my head and I appreciate any help

I tried to do a quick picto for the N5. I took some artistic liberty to make the form more readable as small picto. Let me know if that works for you.

Mover doesn't allow AppData to be moved from pool to array
I got it to work after setting my ZFS pool to primary storage and secondary storage to the new SSD cache and moved from ZFS to SSD worked. If I set primary storage to SSD cache and secondary storage ZFS and move from ZFS to SSD it does not work. Is this expected? Because I had someone try it on their system and for them it worked in both directions which is kinda strange.

Mover doesn't allow AppData to be moved from pool to array
I have a scenario where I want to move my system and appdata folder from a striped zfs pool to a new ssd cache. I read that Mover doesn't allow transfer from pool to pool. So I wanted to move my AppData to a single disk in my array first but that also doesn't work. Once I chose Primary Storage as Array I don't have an option to select a secondary storage to move from zfs pool -> array. I want my docker and appdata folders to be on my new SSD cache. How can I go about it? Any ideas? I tried earlier moving from pool to pool and got the syslog error "No space left on device".

Unraid 7.0 rc1 kernel error? zfs related?
Maybe someone can help me understand the log file here. I just setup a ZFS pool a few days ago and yesterday moved my docker containers on that new pool. Today I am seeing errors in the system log. Are they ZFS related or is it because today I got a notification for an update to RC2?
