  4. Hi all, A couple of months ago I had a few files encrypted due to a ramsomware attack. Since that time I had zero time due to workload to take care about this topic but now I wanna turn ok my sever. The attack was probably caused by my mistake: i put on ON the DMZ on the router exposing the server to the net. Since that I made the following: - Changed root and user password - Folders as read-only - Closed all the ports on the router - Made some tests with Shields Up and everything seems to be ok now. Do you think is it enough? Second point I would like to try to get back my files, at least my pictures, all the rest I can get back from previous back-up or BD drives. At the moment my files are: [Original_name].want_to_cry I tried several "wannacry tools" but they do not recognize the extension, I think is a brand new version. Do you have some ideas? Thank you
  5. When it happened to me....it was just due to the SATA cable disconnected, ok it was a matter of a 0..... millimeters but it was a bit out of the connection.
  6. Now I had a bit of time to check. I have a few files listed as [Original_name].want_to_cry I don't know if it's a newer version of the ramsomware I found a tool by TrendMicro but it's not detecting the files encryption Do you have any suggestion?
  7. At the moment I am abroad on biz trip. Yesterday when I found the problem I switched off the server and then I Will try on my return. Where can I find the tool? Regarding the injection I connect to the server via a desktop PC with CachyOS, the problem maybe Is the PC from the countryside with Win11 connected via Wireguard
  8. Only With VPN Wireguard What can I do now? And how to recover files?
  9. This night I found severl files losing their format and becoing .iwanttocry Is It a Ramsoware? What can I do? At the moment I turned off the server
  10. Cable Is connected and the ethernet in the mainboard works.....I dont have rally ideas
  11. Hi, I try to explain my issue. In my server I had a ASUS XG-C100C V1 that worked just a few months and then not anymore, for months I used the motherboard LAN without any issue TOday I made a new try since I have a bit more time during holidays: I took a ASUS XG-C100C V2 which I had in my workstation and tried installing in the Unraid server and.....same problem, same story: not working I attached the diagnostics, in any case please consider that during boot the LAN port has green lights on, when Unraid boot up lights are dark Do you think it's a software related problem or the PCI has some issue? lybra-diagnostics-20241221-1714.zip
  12. Ok but......almost 70 Gb seems to be a little bit high as Number.... And what if I format the disk?
  13. Hi, I need to clarify one point As you can see from my picture below I need to clarify a misunderstanding. Disk 4 is empty or at least should be....in "Main" it seemes there are almost 68Gb of data, but opening Disk4 it's empty Similar discussion for Disk 3 listed for 279Gb but if I open the Disk and "Calculate" I have 139 Gb Why that? Data for the Parity? How can I do? I would like to empty the two hdd and starting swithing to ZFS but if there are data I don't want to mess up my array

Maybe Plex? But why..... In any case, my idea now Is replace the Disk3 with a new disk, let Parity Rebuild and the trying ti recover the files from the "old" disk with some software. The less I touch the more I should be able to recover, correct?

As said.....the load counter shifted from 89% down to 80% ......files have not been moved but deleted sadly Regarding access I am the only owner, server Is online and I use remote with a VPN tunnel but I think an hacking Attack Is very difficult......only One folder in One disk has bene removed, they could have donne way more damages....

Hi, I have Unraid since a few months and now I'm facing my first big problem. Everything happened on Saturday: at the moment I have an array of 4 disks+Parity with a load factor of 89%. Suddenly on Saturday afternoon I saw my load factor from 89% down to 80% and just a few mis later I've discovered that a huge amount of data from disk3 are.....disappeared.... infact from around 9Tb of data in the DIsk4 now I see from the dashboard only 4,55Tb no error message or SMART warning. What should I do or what can I do? I suppose that if I will replace the DIsk3 the parity will rebuild only 4,55 not the entire disk I suppose, it is like the files have been deleted, but not by me. COuld be also a corruption of XFS? I appreciate every idea Thank you
