Disk backlog on cache drive
Well that is the wrong controller. These systems have a H730 or H730P (The P is just larger I believe) https://i.dell.com/sites/doccontent/shared-content/data-sheets/en/Documents/Dell-Poweredge-RAID-Controller-H730.pdf See Key RAID and data protection features The HBA is what I enabled on the controler.

Disk backlog on cache drive
I think I am just going to buy an NVMe M.2 adapter for the cards and be use that. Any reason that wouldn't work? Still TRIM issues? Yet, doing more research this controller DOES support TRIM, or is it a Unraid limitation? Just a shame the performance is so poor.

Disk backlog on cache drive
What file? The one that is being added to from the Internet? If so Yes. Well I have the RAID controller setup as just normal in the controller BIOS. Can't remember the terms. Actually I can not move it right now, as the physical server is unavailable to me. BUT, I can at a later date I believe by moving it to the back of the machine. I believe these slots are more for boot up but may work. So you saying this drive has not be optimized "TRIM" since I started my server? Any way to manual trigger a TRIM?

Disk backlog on cache drive
6.12.13 Been running Unraid for close to a year, have never really been happy with the performance having to really watch scheduling of events even though the CPU utilization never went above 35% at the worst of times. And typically well below 5% Have a Dell R730 server with 28 cores (56T), 12 disk array with 2 parity drives. All HDD Currently only have one cache SSD drive. Crucial/Micron Client CT2000BX500SSD1 Had 2 originally but that was even slower. Well I recently upgraded my Internet to 1G both ways fiber and that has brought my server to its knees. Install Glances and Netdata after seeing others using the apps to troubleshoot. Netdata flagged this for me. After this happens everything go south very quickly. Installed DiskSpeed and ran that. After continuing it gets stuck at. Are there any known issues with the hardware, drives I am running? The SMART reports are happy and clean. Thanks much.

All array drives show empty after a bonehead mistake.
So am I SOL? If so please let me know so I can start all over with a new Plex server build. Really frustrating as I was just trying to get the system stable when Radarr processed files. He is how my drive show up. The first 4 disks should be a little over half full.

All array drives show empty after a bonehead mistake.
While attempting to change my cache from btrfs to xfs, I messed up my USB. I created a new boot USB and copied files from a diagnostic file I had created just a couple days ago. Didn't touch or move any drives. BUT they all show empty. I am confident the array drives still have the TBs of data on them. But can't access anything on them. Just a parent folder. I did start in maintenance mode and ran the check disk with the -n and without nothing changed. Do I really have to start completely over? I had moved all the data from the cache drive to the array before I messed up. Thanks in advance.

CPU get bogged down often.
I am still trying to figure out how to make my Plex Unraid server steady. I made the changes to disk share and that worked well for SABnzbd, but now the issue has moved up to normal operations and Radarr. This is a R730xd server with 28 cores at 2.6 and 128MB of memory. Here is a sample top of what I see when the server shouldn't be doing much of anything. Yet the GUI is nonresponsive.... What can I do or what can I check? Note the 607.4 free of 128GB Thanks in advance.

Cache disk stalls out during SABnzbd downloads
Yes that is what I am pointing out that the change is minimal. BUT, currently I still have the sub-directory /data in the path which is still the share of the whole cache and array. And doesn't seem to work as well. Do I need to NOT have it be part of the path and then copy into it to get the disk share to work? I do appreciate your help! EDIT: I THINK I found the issue with the disk share not working as well as the exclusive. Once I removed the -n10 from the extra parameters it is trucking along nicely. Very hopeful that was the ticket to success. Will mark as solved once I do a little more observing. EDIT2: OK I have seen enough to know this is the way to go. I unpacked a 28GB file in maybe 30 seconds verses taking longer than the download sometimes. Thank-you Thank-you! Now just need to decide on how many docker apps I want to move to this. Definitely going to progress slowly with that. ONE LAST QUESTION: If I add that other SSD back into the cache pool is that going to break anything? Or am I better off trying to add it as raid 10 via the backplane? (Obviously more work and risky as have to backup and move data around)

Cache disk stalls out during SABnzbd downloads
Well I tried it with the exclusive way creating a new share with /ssd with just the cache drive. That worked better but didn't like the having to copy everything to the data and not being able to hard link. So then I went back to the disk shares. That isn't helping so far. So I have it enabled in settings - Global shares. In SABnzbd have the following paths in the main edit config. Container Path /data Host Path /mnt/cache/data Default /mnt/cache/data In SAB folders. Temp /data/usenet/incomplete Completed /data/usenet/complete Just doesn't seem right but not sure what I am doing wrong. Where am I messing up?

Cache disk stalls out during SABnzbd downloads
OK.... Just to insure I understand you correctly. I should enable disk shares and then change my paths in SABnzbd to use the disk share of the CACHE drive vs the user share of the whole pool and everything will still eventually move to the array when I run mover?

Cache disk stalls out during SABnzbd downloads
Edit: OK You mean under Settings - Global Disk Settings... So try one at a time. Disk was set to Auto, Exclusive was set to No... Sorry for my ignorance. Are you saying setup my other ssd drive I removed and add it back in as a separate /download type share? I thought the whole point of Unraid is to do atomic moves? Or are you saying simply a setting I don't know about?

Cache disk stalls out during SABnzbd downloads
I only have a few days left on my trial and been trying to get this to work without much luck after trying many different things. I DO want it to work and purchase verses starting over with something else. I have a R730xd server with 28 2.6 cores. Had 2 2TB ssd drives part of my cache pool but removed one as it appeared they would get out of sync, that did seem to improve things some. I have a 12MB download speed and that will march along for less than a minute then the cache writes will begin slowing down and fill the RAM buffer I have setup I have experimented with that set at 75MB to 1GB not much difference. Along with this the CPUs will start filling up and if I don't have -n10 in the extra parameters the web gui to SAB will get lost as well. With the download speed down... the RAM buffer will slowly empty and the process starts all over again. I have experimented with various pinning of docker apps but still struggling. Thanks so much for any assistance. 4kmarina-diagnostics-20231204-1122.zip
