  1. Thanks. Just to confirm, can I do this if I have exsisiting VM's and docker containers?
  2. I'm looking to optimize my cache pool. I currently have a 500GB NVME drive that handles everything. I would like to change it so that the existing cache drive will only handle a single Windows VM, Docker Containers and Appdata, plex meta data and system files and my new 2TB NVME will handle downloads and write it to my Array as needed. Is this the most optimal way to do this? Can this be done with an existing Unraid server or do you need to format everything? Thanks in advance for your help.
  3. Thanks for your reply. I ended up getting a new board, ram and cooler for the 5800x.
  4. I recently upgraded my main pc and now have a 5800x laying around. I'm in the process of moving my unraid server from an old pc case to a rack mounted case and while everything is going to be transferred over, I was wondering if it would be worth using my 5800x and retiring my 6700k. I would need to purchase a new am4 motherboard and some ram as well (not sure what would be best here either). I use the server for plex (with a 2080 super), 10ish docker containers, file storage, and 2-3 VM's. I guess I'm wondering if the juice is worth the squeeze for my use case. Any insight on this would be appreciated. Thanks!
