Can't boot from USB but USB is readable. Possible to make a new USB with all data?
Hey Squid, thank you for your quick reply. When I plugged in the USB drive on my Windows PC it was able to repair the discrepancy on the drive. I can now boot Unraid again. I also made a new drive and copied the /config directory but luckily I'm not gonna need that anymore. Thank you! Problem solved

Can't boot from USB but USB is readable. Possible to make a new USB with all data?
Hello community, I recently set up Unraid on a new system. Worked like a charm. Since yesterday I can't boot anymore. dosfsck reported some inconsistencies and resolved them, but I still cannot boot from the USB drive. Some strange I/O error and the partition is not mounted as it should... I have a backup from 5 days ago but I don't want to use it because a lot changed in the last 5 days. Since the USB drive is fully readable here's my question: Can I copy all the data on the USB drive, flash the drive and copy back all my data or do I need to flash the backup from 5 days ago?

USB filesystem dead, no backup and already shutdown the system
Thank you guys for your help so far. The more severe problem is, that I cannot install unraid on another stick, because I have no backup of the stick and it is literally garbage. Do you know if and how I can restore my license? I can not remember if I have an account, but I have the invoice from 2022. Is this sufficient and can I contact the support? Thank you!

USB filesystem dead, no backup and already shutdown the system
Hi trurl, sorry for my late response. No I don't know my disk assignment. But I'm pretty sure I can recreate it. There is only one SSD for cache and only one parity disk, so I should be able to find it. Does this help me restore my system? Thanks for your help!

USB filesystem dead, no backup and already shutdown the system
Hello guys, maybe a few days ago my unraid USB must have died. Today I stumbled accross a full log partition and lots of squashFS erros. I shutdown the unraid system and tried to do some troubleshooting. Unfortunately the USB is complete garbage and I can not even access the device as gparted says: "error opening /dev/sdc: No such device or address." I did make a backup a few months ago but I can't find it anywhere. Lessons learned for the next time... TL;DR: USB stick really dead, no backup, system already shut down -.- Is there a way to transfer my license to a new device? Probably I have to contact support right? As the data is stored on my disks I should be able to detect the parity aswell as the data disks, so my only concern is on how to get a new Unraid Stick ready. Is there something I'm gonna lose because this happened?
