I activated trial / evaluation about 5 days ago and while I am unable to make the system work for me due to inability to reboot the server without issues I decided to support efforts of developers and purchased activation key. The question is: Does the activation code expire if it hasn't been activated? Maybe I will decide to try again after I upgrade the hardware...

I rebooted it a couple times now, so it should be captured in the log. I tried with the VM running with the VM autostart and with the VM stopped without autostart. Every time the array was not stardet after the reboot. During the startup I noticed something concerning on the monitor connected to the host: unraid-diagnostics-20240119-1231.zip

After reading how diagnostic data is collected it looks like it collects all available logs. Here they are. unraid-diagnostics-20240119-1033.zip

Thank you for the response, that was quick. I will enable mirroring to flash for troubleshooting, it shouldn't kill my drive. Then how do I download those logs to be shared here?

Hello everyone. I am on my 4th day of evaluation and I'm mostly happy with the the system except for each reboot is greeting me with the "Stopped. Unclean shutdown detected." message. What should I check to get over this issue? Thank you. unraid-diagnostics-20240119-0950.zip

Hello everyone, after two full days of evaluation I think that I will stay around for awhile My goal is to install Nextcloud with recognize app and allow it to use GPU. I am aware of the VM and passtrough (coming from ESXi world) but I like to learn new things and I really like to concept of sharing GPU among containers. This is why I am here. So far I maneged to install: Postgres15 (official) Nexctcloud (lscr.io/linuxserver/nextcloud) Nvidia Driver (ich777) I passed all the nvidia parameters to the nextcloud container and now I discovered that the container is missing Python, PIP, Tensorflow and even if those are installed they won't sustain a reboot. Does anyone have an experience setting this up? Is there a way to add something to the container? P.S. As I am learning more and more I found that there is a "Nextcloud-aio-mastercontainer" but I was unable to find the guide for it.

I stopped Docker, moved files manually, changed paths, enabled docker. Looks like it works.

I think that I am mixing terminology, a "Share" doesn't necessary mean a network share. Is it something like a "Dataset" in Truenas? If so... It can be set so that it won't be a symlink but directly pointing to the cache pool. I think that I managed to do that. Now... would the system move existing docker data if I point the docker to a new share here? I don't see "MOVE" to the new location button. Does it requires manual intervention?

I was surprised to see "/mnt/user" where you'd expect system level operations and I think that it's related to what Jorge is referring to. Can you please elaborate on this:

Hello everyone. I am planning to migrate to Unraid and activated trial to taste the system, it's my first day, some guidenace will be needed There are two 4TB spinning HDDs assigned to an array (I am not sure in what RAID configuration they are but it's not the point right now). There are four 1TB SSD drives in additional pool that system named cache by default and I selected zfs - raidz (this part is clear to me). There will be additionally six 6TB spinners added in another raidz2 pool "storage" when I am comfortable to remove them from Truenas. Features I would like to test are VMs and Containers but since Unraid concept is totally new to me I am not sure what are all those settings with primary / secondary location and mover. I want VM's and containers to run on SSD pool and not disturb spinning drives if I don't have to so in the future I could spin down main storage. My logic is telling me that I should change these paths and point to "cache" pool. Is it possible? Any red flags in doint that? Then what are all these options? Should I just disable them? Thank you.
