How can a revert back to 7.2.4 after upgrading to 7.2.5?
Ok, followed the nVidia driver setup and plex check and all seems to be working. So now I'll try 7.2.5 to 7.3.1 and see how that goes.

How can a revert back to 7.2.4 after upgrading to 7.2.5?
Does anyone know if the nVidia Driver issue was resovled in Unraid 7.3.1? I'm running an nVidia RTX4060 I reviewed your link and that seems like A LOT of risky work just to make Unraid 7.2.5+ work ... hoping I don't have to do that with 7.3.1?

How can a revert back to 7.2.4 after upgrading to 7.2.5?
So why does 7.2.4 work with my existing nVidia driver? So 7.2.5 broke some compatibility with nVidia driver? So I don’t really understand your statement as it seems more “defensive” than “proactive”.

No longer able to access my Plex Media Server on Unraid 7.2.5?
As per my other thread, reverting back to 7.2.4 has resolve the issue with my Plex Media Server.

How can a revert back to 7.2.4 after upgrading to 7.2.5?
Sure, when I attempt to play an TV show or Movie on my TV using Plex Client app, where Plex media server is installed on UnRaid as Docker app, I got long pauses during viewing. The movie would play for about 1 minute, pause (the Plex rotating circle) for about 30 seconds, then play for about 1 min, then pause again ... making it impossible to view a movie on my Plex server. This issue started to happen AFTER upgrading UnRaid from 7.2.4 to 7.2.5. The solution to downgrade back to 7.2.4 has worked. So it seems there is some incompatibility issue in 7.2.5 with Plex Media server.

How can a revert back to 7.2.4 after upgrading to 7.2.5?
I’m encountering a lot of issues with 7.2.5 that didn’t exist prior to my upgrade. Is it possible to downgrade back to 7.2.4?

No longer able to access my Plex Media Server on Unraid 7.2.5?
Hmmm … ok, I think there is definitely a problem with UnRaid 7.2.5. Last night, Plex decide to play for 1 min, pause for 30 seconds, play for 1 min, pause for 30 seconds … continuously. So I checked it was a wifi issue or problem with my network … tested NetFlix, Prime, YouTube and all were working well … just Plex on my UnRaid. The only “change” has been upgrading UnRaid to 7.2.5. Anyone else having issues with Plex on UnRaid 7.2.5?

No longer able to access my Plex Media Server on Unraid 7.2.5?
After a lot of research, the easiest solution was to revert to a backup of the two Plex database files. I tried downloading the Plex DBRepair.sh script and attempted to run that but got a message it’s not supported the flavor of Linux UnRaid use … or I just could figure out how to execute it in a docker container? Anyway, I’m back up and running by simple rename of corrupted database files and rename of good backup files and then just do a Library Scan again. I think how the Plex database got corrupted was related to a Movie (Mad Max 2 - The Road Warrior) as it has two different IMDB codes since the movie was renamed to just “The Road Warrior” … I changed the IMDB code and re-scanned and then did a Meta update … this is when things went south. I’m not a big Linux guy, so if someone knows how to run a script (with pathing) in a the Plex Docker Container, please let me know. Under Plex Docker Service, I did right click to open console but no attempt worked to run the Plex provided DBRepair.sh. That’s what I hate about linux, so many command lines for performing the most basic and simple of tasks, and I still couldn’t figure it out.

No longer able to access my Plex Media Server on Unraid 7.2.5?
I'm running 7.2.5 Unraid. I started a Meta data library update via the docker Plex App (Web GUI) last night and it was taking A LONG time so I left it and returned the following morning. I was able to access an movie/tv show on my plex server, whenever I clicked on the movie to play it I got an "access error"? Then I navigated to Apps, Installed Apps, and under Plex I selected Web GUI and got this error: So I keep trying to access my Plex Server via the Web GUI and once (only once) I got this message: Odd? So I went looking at the Plex logs and found this information suggesting the Plex Database is corrupted? Opening 2 database sessions to library (com.plexapp.plugins.library.blobs), SQLite 3.39.4, threadsafe=1May 03, 2026 15:34:41.667 [22679620614800] INFO - Running migrations. And even less of an idea how to fix this issue (if it is fixable)? I've posted on the Plex forums asking for help also and figured I'd try here since UnRaid and Plex are a common combo. Any thoughts or suggestions? Rob. PlexLog1.txt

How to make Unraid faster … it’s currently way too slow.
Can you fill me in on ZFS RAIDZ pool? Implications for my existing setup? Quick read and it seems I need to format the new ZFS RAIDZ pool ... no ability to migrate all my existing 67TB of data? Benefits? Limitations? Thanks, Rob.

How to make Unraid faster … it’s currently way too slow.
Ok, the issues seems to be that the share I’m copying my large files to isn’t setup for Cache to Array. And I’m starting to recall why it is setup that way … I read somewhere that Plex Server (which I have installed) needs to point to an Array share and NOT a Cache to Array share. I vaguely remember setting the share (that Plex uses for all the movies/music etc.) to Cache to Array and Plex lost all context of what I had setup and showed me an empty Plex library when I brought up the Web UI. In fact, as I recall, it was a complete disaster and I ended up re-installing plex after I set the share back to just Array. Copy of medias-diagnostics-20260212-2046.zip Anyway, diagnostic files.

How to make Unraid faster … it’s currently way too slow.
I’ll have to check my Mover schedule. I typically move large files once a day at night around 10pm. Like I said earlier, the files I move never exceed the Cache (3TB) … in fact rare they even hit 1TB. Mover is definitely something I need to investigate and come up with a good schedule. EDIT: great link, thank you … I have no idea what my minimum free space setting is for the Cache.

How to make Unraid faster … it’s currently way too slow.
Hmmm … what you describe would make sense … for some reason it stops writing to the cache and then writes direct to Array? Wonder if the cache isn’t being flushed after transfer completes to the array? No, this is not an initial dump. Per my post, usually once a day 1-30 files totaling a max of about 500GB … well below my 3TB Cache pool with parity (6TB). Yes, will get those diagnostics up later today.

How to make Unraid faster … it’s currently way too slow.
Will post more details tonight. Like I said, no problem doing the exact same parallel copies between two PCs, they drop a little (400-500MB/s) but not to 20MB/s or less. So I know this is not a network/NIC issue but something to do with Unraid and the hardware in my NAS. The copies are (and should be) going to Cache (the SSD Pool) then to the array … I see the SSD Cache being used. Sorry, but not going to sit around for hour waiting for one copy to finish and then start another and repeat 30 times ;)

How to make Unraid faster … it’s currently way too slow.
In the office now, will post diagnostics tonight. Actually 11X HDDs (2 parity) in an Array. 3X 2TB SSDs are Pooled Cache.

How to make Unraid faster … it’s currently way too slow.
I have 6TB SSD (3 X 2TB) for a Cache and 10X HDDs (Seagate and WD 7200rpm). CPU is Intel 12700K, GPU is nVidia 1080Ti, 128GB RAM and my entire network is all 10G. The performance issue I’m running into is when start multiple copy/paste from my Win11’s PCs to the UnRaid NAS. The files I copy and paste aren’t that many (maybe 30 total with sizes from 1GB to 63GB … mostly video files). The initial transfer speeds is good at about 800-900 MB/s for about 10-15 seconds then deteriorates to 60 MB/s. If I start parallel copy/paste operations each operation will slice down … example 60MB/s then add two more copy/paste operations and all 3 operations are now down to about 20MB/s. So when I monitor Unraid, the CPU threads don’t seem to be overloaded at all and RAM usage is well below max 128GB. My Cached SSD usage is below 3TB. I’ve used the optimization tool which helped a little but multiple transfers still brings my Unraid NAS to a crawl. To validate there is nothing wrong with my 10G network adapters, I do the same transfers across two of my PCs on my network and they sustain about 1000 MB/s and never deteriorate and complete the transfers MUCH faster. So what can I do to make Unraid faster … it just seems incredibly slow and the parity checking takes FOREVER (160TB with two parity drives so about 120 TB usable and 57 TB currently available, using about 63TB). My options? More RAM? Better SATA controller? Hardware RAID controller with RAM expansion? Driver support? More SSD Cache? Better CPU? All suggestions welcome on how (if) to make Unraid faster? Rob.

Fix Common Problems reports appdata should be cache only, why? Seems dangerous?
So if I understand you correctly, I should set appdata to Array only as primary and no cache?
-
Fix Common Problems reports appdata should be cache only, why? Seems dangerous?
The "errors found" suggests this link: This does NOT make a lot of sense to me. My Plex Server uses appdata (hence the name "application data" to store it's information regarding my media), so why would I only want this set to cache only? If I shut down my Unraid server, then I assume I would lose all my Plex data related to my media files? This seems like a REALLY bad suggestion to make appdata cache-only. This "recommended fix" seems more like a work around to an Unraid limitation? Is this still an issue with Unraid 7.0.1? Rob. EDIT: I assume by "Cache Only" you mean set "Secondary Storage: None"?

Hmmm ... getting 550 error when I try to access an existing share "Assets" from FTP client, shows the folder but can't open it. Guessing something to do with my path settings but all seems correct? I added a separate user "sony" and provided read/write access to the "Assets" share and I login to FTP via user "sony" ... but made no difference. hmmm ...

FTP server enable help?
Hmmm ok, I actually used a new VideoRAW path and followed per your linked info which ... and a share is created called VideoRAW. I need to edit the share settings under SMB and select "Export = Yes" and now I see the share one my Windows PC file explorer (all good on FTP client side) I'll create a Virtual Folder that points to one of my existing shares and see how that goes. So far so good ... really appreciate all the help BTW. EDIT: only odd part on the WebUI from SFTPGo was it defaults to "client" rather than "admin" user.
