  1. I'm a total newbie to Unraid and will be setting it up on a new Unraid server soon to replace an existing NAS. I have a few queries in regards to the initial setup of a storage array and migrating my NAS data across to the new Unraid server. I'm intending to start off with: 2 brand new 4TB SSDs, and 1TB NVME (for cache). Soon after, I will add at least one 8TB spinner later (parity). I have ~6TB of data on my old NAS (stored on 2x8TB spinners). I have a backup of this data on an external USB HDD. My intention is to combine the 2x 4TB SSDs into one 8TB array and then transfer my data (either from the NAS or USB HDD) on to it. Once it's safely on the Unraid array, I'll repurpose one of the NAS 8TB spinners as the parity drive. Are there any flaws in this? It is mentioned in the Unraid documentation that SSD support in the array is experimental. Is this still the case? I'm wanting to use SSDs for longevity, energy efficiency and heat reduction. Cannot wait to jump into the world on Unraid.
