Unraid suddenly stopped responding
My Unraid suddenly stopped responding. A few hours before I noticed it was not responding, I was copying some files off the server (it seems like it also failed mid-way) I had to shut off the power and start Unraid and repeat this a few times to get It to start working. Now it is working, and I am not seeing any issues with it, but it has only been an hour. I don't see anything obvious in the logs, but can someone help me figure out what might have gone wrong and if there's any lingering problems I need to look into? I've attached the diagnostics. Thank you very much! ah-server-diagnostics-20241219-2354.zip

Unraid 6: Extremely Slow Parity Sync
I recently added a new 12TB Seagate Exos drive to my Unraid setup to use as a parity drive. Before this, I was running the system without parity. However, the parity sync is progressing extremely slowly. On average, the speed is around 10MB/sec. Occasionally, it spikes to between 150MB-200MB, but these moments are brief, and the speed typically reverts to 10MB/sec or lower. With about 27TB of data to sync, only 4.3TB has been synced after one day and three hours. This seems unusually slow, considering that individual speed tests on my disks (conducted using "DiskSpeed") show speeds exceeding 150MB/sec, and there are no apparent SMART issues or noticeable problems in the logs or system diagnostics. However, I'm not very experienced with reading these diagnostics. The setup includes one hard drive connected directly to the motherboard via SATA cables and others in a hard drive enclosure linked via an LSI HBA card. All hardware is running the latest firmware. Can anyone suggest why my parity sync is so slow or how I can troubleshoot this issue? ah-server-diagnostics-20240623-1242.zip

VirtioFS Support Page
I'm not sure if anyone else has encountered this, but I'm experiencing a peculiar issue. I have a single share mounted as a drive on my Windows VM via VirtioFS. Generally, it functions well. However, I've recently encountered a problem where Sonarr can't locate certain media files. This issue resolves itself upon restarting, but then it reoccurs with different files. When I access the mounted drive and attempt to play the files that Sonarr couldn't find, I encounter errors. VLC reports "can't play media file," even though I can clearly see the files on the mounted drive. Interestingly, when I access the share through a network drive, or directly via Plex, everything operates smoothly; there are no issues. Additionally, restarting seems to temporarily resolve the problem, but then, another set of media files stop working. I'm unsure if this is a bug in the VirtioFS system. My drives are in good condition and have passed all SMART tests. So far, it seems like newly added files seem to be most effected.

Help with expanding hard drive capacity on my Unraid server
Hey folks, I've been using Unraid since last year to store media, mostly. I built a custom-PC for Unraid, and the case I purchased only has space for 2 3.5 HDDs. So far, this has been fine, but now I want to expand this, and add more HDDs. After some research online, this is what I think I should get to expand hard drive capacity: EMC KTN-STL3 - EMC 15-slot Disk Array Enclosure for 3.5in VNX ($75) For the HDD enclosure LSI 9207-8e SAS HBA 6Gbps PCI-E 3.0 P20 IT mode from Art Of the Server on eBay. ($75) To connect my motherboard to the EMC enclosure above. My motherboard is a Asus ROG Strix B760-F. EMC VNX 3.5" Hard Drive Tray/Caddy with Interposer from eBay. ($12/piece) I have SATA HDDs so I believe I'll need the above to connect the SATA HDDs to the enclosure. MPN: 303-115-003D. Interface: SAS And a SFF-8088 to SFF-8088 cable, of course. Have I got things right? Is this is the approach I should take to get where I need? Obviously if there are better ways to achieve what I am looking for, I'll be happy to hear that. **Thank you so much in advance for helping a noob.**
