Depending on how much you are transcoding, you could switch to a slighlty more powerful Intel CPU and use the built in GPU (uses less power). Cahce drive - personally might upgrade mine in the future. looking at 3-4tb

What is the purpose of your server? You most likely do not need a graphics card and could rely on the Intel's built in graphic card. If you do not need a dedicated graphic card then I would suggest going for an i7 or even a 12th gen CPU. uses less power and has the same quality graphic card. It all depends on your wanted usage

Hello Unraid Community, I'm reaching out after weeks of troubleshooting, and I’m hoping someone can help me get my server stable again. Here are the details of my custo-built server: - Motherboard: Asus Prime Z790-P - CPU: Intel i9-14900K (no dedicated GPU, using iGPU) - RAM: 2x16GB DDR5 Kingston 4800 MHz - USB Drive: 3.2 USB (I suspect this could be part of the issue) The Issue: I’ve been experiencing constant network connection drops with my Unraid server. Sometimes I can connect for a while, but eventually, the connection drops, and it doesn’t recover unless I reboot the server. This has been happening regularly, and the problem has become worse since I updated the BIOS and adjusted a few settings. In the syslogs it does not show any errors, just a clear stop until I reboot the server. What I've Tried: - Updated the BIOS and adjusted some network-related settings, but it seems to have worsened the issue. - Ran memtest for the RAM (no issues detected). - Checked the USB drive. Every time I plug it into my laptop, it prompts me to “fix” it. It’s a 3.2 USB drive, and I’m considering replacing it. - Troubleshot for the past 3 weeks with no success, even consulting multiple sources, including AI chats, to help diagnose and resolve the issue. Diagnosis File: I’ve attached my diagnostics file to provide more information on the system and any potential errors. Additional Information: Network drops seem random, and nothing I’ve tried so far has worked to stabilize the connection. USB drive could be contributing to the problem based on the repeated “fix drive” prompts when plugged into my laptop. I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance on what I can do next. Hi all, Setting up my Unraid server for the first time and I can't seem to connect to the internet when in the GUI. I have found this error: get_key_info, 600: Invalid Argument (22): Stat: /boot/config/lifetimekey I think it has something to do with the time on the machine? I am not sure how to fix this. Any help is appreciated. Edit: Turns out my Bios being on BST rather than GMT was messing with my ability to change the time in Unraid. Solved by changing the time in my Bios, then changing the time manually in Unraid, then setting it back to automatic.
