I want to reduce the physical size of my unRAID server.
In that connection, it didn't take long from thought to purchase when I saw the Jonsbo N3 cabinet.
The plan is to build a new server in the Jonsbo N3 cabinet, when it is fully assembled, my current setup will be shut down and the parts sold.
My current setup has been rock solid, so I haven't kept up to date with what's available, so I need input to that extent.
The desire is as follows.
- 8 HDD of 8TB incl. 1x Parity drive (will probably be Seagate Ironwolf as parity and Barracuda as data drives)
- 1 SSD as cache drive, either 2.5" or onboard M2 (500GB+)
- Motherboard ITX with option for 8 sata connections + M2 for cache drive / MB with 9 sata connections if cache drive becomes a traditional SSD 2.5" SSD drive.
- PSU: Only knows it has to be SFX.
- Docker Plex Media Server + a backup thing similar to Onedrive.
- Only streaming to the house's two televisions. (4K)
- Something which, in terms of performance, is at least on par with what I have now.
- I am open to finding a second hand Motherboard.
My current setup.
