  1. Since @TheBenga never replied... thank you.
  2. Is there a version of the docs in pdf format, or some other format that can be used for RAG in AI training? I don't have web search enabled for this (local) model.
  3. Thanks much @Veah! I went through and it works great. So if I'm switching to a single disk model, I'm going to specify that disk in the include selector for that share. Would I also need to change the split level from automatic to manual? Or is that moot given a single disk?
  4. Hi. My goal is to migrate my photos from what is now a multi-disk user share to a single disk share due to smb performance issues with user shares, which seems to be much better when using smb with disk shares. I originally created a user share for photos that spread files across both of my disks (disk1, disk2). I do see that there are some folders within that share that have been split across both disks (disk1, disk2). I would now like to use only disk1 for these files, so I changed the settings to include disk1, exclude disk2. I thought Unraid would automatically consolidate the files onto disk1, but it did not. I tried changing the split level from automatic to manual, and also tried stopping/restarting the array, but the files remain split across both disks. Do I have to manually move them from disk2 to disk1? If so, what is the process for doing that so that i don't mess anything up. Thank you!
  5. Hey. I noticed that the PostgreSQL_Immich container has no permissions for group or other by default. If I manually change them to read-only, they revert to none when the container is restarted. This is messing with my backups, and I don't have this issue with any of my other containers. Any idea how to fix this such that group/other are persistently read-only? Thank you!

Given that unraid is on the same network as devices that could be compromised, I think it's important, especially when you're dealing with backup data credentials. No?

I'm someone who puts the "stupid" into the KISS (keep it simple stupid) principle. I recently installed Duplicacy to backup to B2, but noticed that the process for setting up SSL certs for that is beyond my capabilities. I don't want to ditch Unraid for an off-the-shelf NAS, but also want to know that my backup data, and other app-related browser data, are totally secure. My security concerns are mainly internal to my network, given that I have no ports open, but that may change. So my question is: What options are there for using SSL while interfacing with apps in a browser? I see discussions of reverse proxies, cloudflare, caddy, zero trust, etc... but quite honestly these solutions seem a little daunting. In short, is there a solution that would require 15 minutes or less of my time, using GUI's only, and does not necessitate a VPS or CS degree? Thank you!

  9. I created a share with SMB set to Time Machine - hidden. Although I could get the drive to mount in Mac Finder, and although Time Machine recognized it during the disc setup (and asked for my username/pw), it ultimately could not connect to the drive, issuing a notification that it was due to a username/password issue. I went back and changed the share settings to Time Machine (not hidden), and it was then able to commence with the backup. Bug? Something else? Thank you. Unraid: 6.12.11 MacOS: 14.5 (23F79)
