I have a computer with five Nvme 4TB drives no spinning disks (MinusForum MS-01 computer with PCIe 3.1 x8 ASM2812 to 2 port M.2 SSD Adapter).
I setup Unraid (v7 beta 4) on this computer using one drive for parity and the other four in a ZFS array. I have read in the manual that a problem can happen with TRIM. Can I use the computer setup this way or will I run into a problem.
Will the TRIM create a problem? If so can someone tell me how to setup a computer that has only Nvme (5) drives?
I have 5 Nvme drives, all drives are 4 GB networking through a 10Gbs SPF+ port on an MS-01. If I use all 5 drives in a raid 5 pool configuration will I get proper TRIM operation on all five drives and get theoretically a 1 GBs output/input over network.
Using all Nvme hardware (all drives are the same size) can an Unraid setup with ZFS accommodate trim? If this works will it also work with ZFS for the parity drive and trim without destroying the parity data?
