  3. Mayber silly question but do you have the latest BIOS installed on your mobo? https://www.asus.com/supportonly/rog%20strix%20b760-i%20gaming%20wifi/helpdesk_bios/ Version 1820 12.76 MB 2025/05/27 SHA-256 :2A4144081C8A52D91FDE5C3FA5BBFF42C511F4731881CE9CE1B08BBE9869D353 "Update the Intel microcode to version 0x12F to further improve system conditions that may contribute to Vmin Shift instability in Intel 13th and 14th Gen Version 1805 12.75 MB 2024/11/12 "1. 4. Six months ago, I decided to move from my old QNAP to a DIY NAS running Unraid. It took some time to get used to Unraid, find the right Community Apps to meet all my needs, migrate my data, and so on. I learned a lot and truly enjoyed the journey. But alas, here I am with a fully functioning NAS, plenty of free capacity (the array is 55% full), happily humming in its little corner, a silently cooled and optimized setup. I can max out its 1 Gbps connection while reading or writing. I have all the containers I need and daily jobs running at night. I've reached the point where it's basically a hands-free experience. But somehow, I have this empty feeling. I wish there was something else for me to tinker with. But no. It just works reliably. So frustrating!
  5. Hello, la procédure est décrite ici: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/storage-management/#rebuilding-a-drive-onto-itself
  6. Je suis passé en 7.1.4 et aucun soucis.
  7. 2 days before the 1 month mark since release, I decided to pull the trigger and updated from 7.0.1 to 7.1.4. Everything went very smoothly, no problem after reboot. I use ZFS, many docker containers (some with custom networks), SMB, NFS, various plugins (user scripts, auto fan, ZFS master, ITE I87 driver...), etc. As far as I can tell 7.1.4 is totally fine.
  8. Oh gosh ... Thanks for spotting this !
  9. Hi all, I am trying to backup my appdata folder to an external USB drive and for some reasons I can't get rclone to work: rclone sync /mnt/user/appadata /mnt/disks/Elements/ -l -vv --dry-run 2025/07/15 08:53:52 DEBUG : rclone: Version "v1.70.3" starting with parameters ["rcloneorig" "--config" "/boot/config/plugins/rclone/.rclone.conf" "sync" "/mnt/user/appadata" "/mnt/disks/Elements/" "-l" "-vv" "--dry-run"] 2025/07/15 08:53:52 DEBUG : Creating backend with remote "/mnt/user/appadata" 2025/07/15 08:53:52 DEBUG : Using config file from "/boot/config/plugins/rclone/.rclone.conf" 2025/07/15 08:53:52 DEBUG : Creating backend with remote "/mnt/disks/Elements/" 2025/07/15 08:53:52 DEBUG : fs cache: renaming cache item "/mnt/disks/Elements/" to be canonical "/mnt/disks/Elements" 2025/07/15 08:53:53 ERROR : Local file system at /mnt/user/appadata: error reading source root directory: directory not found Any idea on what I am doing wrong here? Thank you.
  10. I am wondering if those stats are also true for M2 SSDs. Those little things tend to go very hot under load...
  11. And by the way speaking of PWM, with my setup I left the CPU fan managed by the BIOS and only configured the case fan (identified as PWM3) with auto fan. That way the CPU fan speed is based on the CPU temp and the case fan speed is based on the HDD temperatures. I set the threshold so that at idle the CPU fan runs at around 1300 rpm and the case fan at 850 rpm, which is around 40% of their max speed.
  12. I'll let the expert talk but from my experience the settings you apply with Auto Fan will override the BIOS settings.
  13. Where can I find those logs?
  14. Who can tell me which temperature sensor this plugin is using? Is it the CPU temp, the motherboard or the disks?
  15. Ok I think I've found the culprit: in my BIOS there is a line that says "Package C state limit" which was set to C0/C1. I have changed this to "Auto" and now I see some values under "Pkg (HW)" in Powertop.
  16. Please help me understand these results: I see that the individual cores can reach C7 but the package does not show c-state %age. Is this a bug?
  18. This post should be pinned at the top of the thread...
  19. Hello, I am looking for a GPU with passive cooling that could fit in my Jonsbo N2 case. The Palit GeForce GT710 seems to meet the requirement but I am not sure about the width. The card specs says it takes 2 slots. Thanks for your help.
  20. Thanks for the info. If I understood well you were hit by a known bug of 7.1.3... But 7.1.4 should have fixed that. Hence my question: why do you list 7.1.4 in the subject of this topic? Is this problem also happening with 7.1.4? Thanks again.
  21. Thanks for the feedback. Is there a list of NVMEs with DRAM?
  22. Thank you, I've implemented the extra kernel parameters and I will monitor the situation. Hopefully this will fix it. If not I've read that others have solved the issue by swapping the NVMEs or simply replacing it with a different brand/model.
  23. Ok, please help me there, where do I add "nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0 pcie_aspm=off pcie_port_pm=off" Is it under "Uuraid OS" after "append initrd=/bzroot" ? Also do you know I should scrub the pool? Is there an indication showing anywhere? Just curious.
  24. Hello, subscribing toi this thread as I have the exact same issue. What I did is disable sping down on the faulty nvme. Did adding the kernel parameters fix the problem? I am considering swapping nvme but not sure if this going to help.
  25. Ok after a cold reboot things are back to normal. Not sure what happened here. I have set the "spin down" to never on that nvme to see if it prevents it from disappearing..
