Hello all, On my system I have 2 x 512 GB nvme sticks acting as pool devices. The filesystem is ZFS. I noticed that one of the 2 nvme sticks is doing nothing. The ZFS master plugin shows that the cache health is "degraded" without any additional information. Do you have any idea of what is going on here and how to fix it? Thanks.

Ok thank you all for the feedback. In the end I've created my Traefik proxy using a macvlan custom network so no need to change the ports of the management interface...

Any particular reason for this? Are there any known issues that would arise after changing the deault ports?

Hi all, Currently my unRAID management interface is running on ports 80 and 443. I want to change that because I have a bunch of container and I want to put Trefik in fromt of them. Any advice before I change the unRAID UI ports in the settings? Thanks.

Cela me parait être une solution un peu radicale surtout si tu es globalement content de ta carte mère actuelle. Si le problème vient du bruit du ventilo intégré dans le ventirad tu peux peut-être essayer de le supprimer et de fixer par dessus ton Noctua en le fixant avec des vis qui se prennent entre deux ailettes du radiateur, à l'ancienne. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de contraintes donc deux vis devraient être amplement suffisantes. Sinon j'ai vu sur Reddit que d'autres propriétaires de la même carte avaient fait sensiblement baisser les températures en appliquant proprement une meilleure pâte thermique.

Ha OK j'ai un modèle différent de carte mère donc je ne vais pas pouvoir t'aider. Il va falloir changer tout le heatsink j'ai l'impression.

Pour l'instant je suis resté en hardware car j'ai la flemme de bouger mon NAS de là où il est pour le connecter à un écran + clavier pour retourner changer ça dans le BIOS. Mon objectif était d'avoir un NAS silencieux et avec les réglages hardware c'est le cas donc je ne suis même pas certain de vouloir me donner la peine de régler plus finement en software. Peut-être que je le ferai à l'occasion. J'ai installé le plugin "Fan Auto Control" et il ne me propose bien que deux devices: PWM2 et PWM3. Ca correspond avec ce que je peux voir en ligne de commande avec "sensors". Chez moi PWM2 est le fan du CPU et PWM3 est le fan de boitier. Concernant les ventilos j'ai changé celui du CPU pour un Noctua NH-L9i et celui du boitier pour un Noctua Nf-A12x15. Mon NAS étant dans le salon je voulais un truc vraiment le plus silencieux possible, et je suis parfaitement satisfait du résultat. Le gros avantage de UNRAID c'est qu'il spin down des disques lorsqu'ils ne servent pas donc ça me change pas mal de mon NAS précédent (Qnap) qui faisait travailler les disques en permanence ce qui donnait un bruit de "grattage" constant assez pénible.

Mon NAS est bien alimenté par l'UPS mais il y est aussi connecté en USB de sorte que si l'alimentation électrique source s'interrompt et donc que l'UPS passe sur la batterie, il va envoyer une alerte par USB au NAS qui va s'éteindre proprement. C'est une fonctionnalité assez classique qu'on retrouve sur tous les UPS en dehors des modèles premier prix. Mon UPS est un Eaton Ellipse 500: https://www.eaton.com/fr/fr-fr/skuPage.EL500IEC.html

Hello, Perso j'ai une idée "au gros doigt mouillé" de ma consommation via mon UPS qui est connecté en USB à mon NAS UNRAID. Mon UPS est donné pour 300W, en idle il indique une charge de 8%. 8% de 300W = 24 W.

Hello, Je pense avoir la même carte que toi mais avec le N100. Pour contrôler tes ventilateurs en software et voir leurs vitesses de rotation dans le Dashboard UNRAID il te faut installer le plugin "ITE IT87 Driver". Sur mon Jonsbo N2 j'ai en idle le CPU fan qui tourne à 1300 RPM et le fan de boitier aux alentours de 900 RPM. Mon CPU monte rarement au dela de 45 degrés.

@eberhard Wenn Sie den Lüfter hinter den Festplatten anschließen, läuft dieser mit maximaler Geschwindigkeit. Sie müssen es in einen der Sockel auf dem Motherboard stecken.

Would that work with the Alder Lake N100? The behavior is exactly the same in 7.0.0. Still the same issue. Not critical but indeed annoying. EDIT: I just noticed that with 7.0.1 things have changed and there is no longer a message saying tha there are updates available on containers created manually or via compose.

Hi all, I just wanted to say thank you to the UNRAID developers and to Lime Technology. I have been using UNRAID on my DIY NAS for the full 2 months trial, and I have decided to activate my starter license. At first I was a bit skeptical about UNRAID. The fact that most of the advanced features come as plugins or containers felt like it was an empty shell. I was like "Is this it?". But with time I learned to appreciate the flexibility and modularity of the approach. It took me a bit of time to build and customize my install to meet all my needs, and now I have reached the point where everthing works smoothly. I just wish there was a cheaper option for the lifetime license. Maybe Lime Technology could introduce a "familiy edition" limited to 6 storage devices and 5-10 users, or limit the availability of updates to the current major release (i.e. would be entitled to all 7.x.x updates and not 8.x.x) and price it somewhere between the Unleashed and the lifetime licenses. That would be great. Thanks again.

Hello folks, I am trying to add a new drive to my array but I somehow cannot figure out how to get it formatted. After adding the drive the process to clear it automatically started and upon completion I stopped the array, changed the filesystem of the new disk from auto to ZFS and then notice that I cannot click on the "erase" button because it is greyed out. I thought restarting the array would trigger the format but it did not. On the main screen it just says "unmountable: no file system". I have Unassigned Devices installed and I made sure the destructive mode is enabled. I am running Unraid 7.0.0 Thanks for your help.

Hello, I noticed the same issue on my UNRAIS: shim-br0 has the same IP as eth0. I have activated host access to custom networks because I need it. Any workaround? Is this a bug?

You are correct, preclear is no longer needed, as indicated in the documentation...
