NVME Recommendations for Storage?
Hi, So I will start with that that I know it's not really ideal, but I maybe will start with tiny box that have 6 bay for NVME only. I thought about 3 NVME as RAID5 or RAID10, and other one for cache, then total 4 discs and 2 for future. I need some models that can handle this, do you have some recommendations? Regards.

Mini PC with 2 NVME SSD?
WOW 100TB ? insane. For me 2TB is enough (for currently) and also I take in consider that it will be small computer. Regards.

Mini PC with 2 NVME SSD?
It's not just for backup, it's also for NAS and video stream by ethernet.

Mini PC with 2 NVME SSD?
Yes I thought about 2TB x2, and with RAID1 I will get 2TB (or 1.8TB something like that), it's enough for me currently. And it will connect direct to switch that connect to router. Regards.

Mini PC with 2 NVME SSD?
Yes sure I will check the specs, the Lenovo is just example for the size. I just don't get bigger size. And want to know also if the idea is good (run the backups on NVME) Regards.

Mini PC with 2 NVME SSD?
Hi, Yes I know it's not ideal, But what you think about Mini PC with 2 NVME SSDs with RAID1? I know that the NVME isn't ideal for use instead of HDD, but I live in small place and really want small NAS. So I thought to use this until I move to bigger place and really build what I want. So any recommendation for Mini PC that can hold 2 NVME? or NVME and 2 HDD also great! but should be small. (Like Lenovo M920q) Regards.

What's Your Best Value-For-Money CPU for Unraid NAS?
I have option to buy second hand, i5 13600K with ASUS B660M WIFI Mobo at $310, The Mobo I don't need, and I assume I can sell it for $140 (something like that), It say that the CPU costs me $170. It's second hand but still with warranty. i5 13600K - HD770 - 6cP8cE(14c)/20t But the TDP is 125W until 181W

What's Your Best Value-For-Money CPU for Unraid NAS?
Thanks for note this. To be honest, I don't know if I will use it or not. But I said to my self, I already buy a CPU (new or secondhand) then maybe get the best I can for my money. I don't PC unused parts here. Currently I have NVIDIA Streamer that connect to my TV, to the streamer I connected SSD HDD then in the network I transfer to it content. In the NVIDIA I play with VLC Player. Regards.

What's Your Best Value-For-Money CPU for Unraid NAS?
Thanks for it, 150w is the maximum watt it will "draw"? (as mentioned in Intel website) So after this thread, I spoke with my friend, ChatGPT, and asked him, what's prefer for plex encoding, Intel i5 11600 vs AMD 5700x + NVIDIA 1050? He answer that 11600 can go up to 125W at full load, makes sense? (didn't know that, I thought 65W is the maximum) While the amd solution is up to 140W and the 1050 support only H.264 and not H.265 and not support 10-bit So I asked what's the lowest graphics card that support H.265 + 10-Bit, he answered that 1650 GTX (with TU116 Core) or 1660 and up. Then I asked him again to make compare, now with Intel i5 11600 vs AMD 5700x + NVIDIA 1660 GTX (that support H.265 + 10-bit) Intel i5 11600 - 65W Until 125W AMD + 1660 GTX - 65W (88W Actual) and 1660 is 120W at full load - total 208W at full load For the Intel one, it's can handle, 5-7 1080 streams simultaneously 1-2 4K streams simultaneously AMD can handle, 8-12 1080 streams simultaneously 3-4 4K streams simultaneously What do you think about it?

What's Your Best Value-For-Money CPU for Unraid NAS?
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/4306vs4814/Intel-i5-11600-vs-AMD-Ryzen-7-5700X The single CPU score is +- the same, but the multi core is much better for 5700x side. But now, if I want transcoding (for the start I don't, but I assume in future), graphics card is better then CPU? If I use Nvidia 1050, it's better then use the internal GPU of i5 11600? can you put things in order for me? Regards.

What's Your Best Value-For-Money CPU for Unraid NAS?
As I don't have computers parts here, I need to buy, and if I buy I prefer to get the best I can get for my money. Beside the price, important for me the performance and also that will be lower TDP. I thought maybe about i5 11600 CPU (that support Plex transcoding also) and Z590 Mobo.

What's Your Best Value-For-Money CPU for Unraid NAS?
Thanks for reply, The question was not presented properly. In terms of value for money I look at how much watts the CPU is needed and how much Single/Multi CPU score it's have.

Unraid Support Motherboard NVME and Also PCI-E NVME Together?
Hi, My question is general, If I have motherboard with 2x NVME SSDs places, and I want to add more 2x NVME SSDs (for cache purposes), Unraid support it? "Read" from motherboard and also "read" at the same time from PCI-E another 2 NVME SSDs Regards.

Supermicro X11SPi-TF Motherboard Review
Thanks for the reply, I love instant pages, but I think I can live with that. For the start I wanted to go with Intel i5 8400 (before I know about all the bifurcation etc), and in CPU compare vs 5218 (can't find 5218n) they not really different. If we compare Ryzen 7 5800X that AMD motherboards more support bifurcation, this CPU is much better in single core speed and also with multi core. (but much low cores/threads) I still don't have much speeds here in Israel, so the converter still works.

Supermicro X11SPi-TF Motherboard Review
Sorry to be a bit long-winded about this, I'd really like to understand what you mean? Is the processor too slow? Currently I have 1gbe downlink/100mb uplink, but I want to make it future-proof. Here in Israel, SFP+ still not common. From the outside/ISP it's connects to media converter (like Nokia) then with RJ45 to my router and use PPPOE. At the end of the day, because I already have this CPU and RAM I prefer to use it, but also can sell in second hand marketplace and buy other CPU. As I understand most of Intel (Desktop grade) CPUs MOBOs don't support bifurcation at x4x4x4x4, only AMD. So I wanted to know if this MOBO is worth it. Thanks for all the help & replies. Regards.

Supermicro X11SPi-TF Motherboard Review
Thanks for your comment, About the PCI-E slots, I just need x16 bandwidth for NVME Adapter. About the streaming, I don't know if I will use Plex, maybe yes, but for currently it's just need to "hold" the content, then with VLC at the streamer I pull it, without coding or something like that. Didn't get your point? It's RJ45, still will get hot? As I know for example X540 get hotter then X550, If I don't buy this MOBO I will take other MOBO but will need to buy X550 ethernet card also.

Supermicro X11SPi-TF Motherboard Review
Hi, So I will start first with my story I wanted to build a NAS, just build a NAS with Unraid. The NAS will be for Downloading content, backup phones/computers, transmit video to streamer, in future camera recording. So I start to grab some parts, CoolerMaster N400 case, i5 8400 with Z370 Motherboard, 32GB DDR and more, Then I found on facebook HPE ML110 Gen10, and I thought, wow, it's "close" for me all the things that I wanted, hot swap, support for 8 3.5" HDDs and more. While I looking for PCI-e for NVME SSDs discs (4 NVME) I understand, thanks @MAM59, that with my server I can't do it, because they have RAID controller that Unraid will not support it. (You can read here - https://forums.unraid.net/topic/183634-pci-e-for-nvme-adapter-recommendations/) Until I asked this question, I already bought 128GB DDR4 RDIMM, Intel Xeon 5218N CPU (for this server) and already sold few of my parts from the start, the i5 with motherboard, CPU cooling and more. Then now I have on my hand, CoolerMaster N400 case, 128GB DDR4 RDIMM, Intel Xeon 5218N CPU, I started to search a motherboard with minimum 2 PCI-E that works with x16 bandwidth. (It's very hard ..) Then I found this Motherboard, Supermicro X11SPi-TF, that support RDIMM, ATX Form, 10 SATA6 (more then enough for me), support LGA3647 Socket (my Xeon is like that), and also have 2 PCI-e 3.0 that support x16 bandwidth, it's also have 2 10gbe ethernet (and I already wanted to buy some ethernet card, like Intel X550) So after this story (yes yes sorry for the long one), what do you think about this motherboard, Supermicro X11SPi-TF? Regards.

PCI-E for NVME Adapter Recommendations
Yeah yeah, I means to "hot swap" and not "how swap". So which parts is good to our project? I will try to find some second hand bundle (Mobo and CPU). Most of the Mobo I checked is with 2x NVME M.2 and 6x SATA 6GB, they also have PCI-E, so maybe I can use PCIE for NVME add-on? Regards.

PCI-E for NVME Adapter Recommendations
Where I can found something like that, how swap is nice but I read that it's god very hot? how can I cool down it? But, which CPU and motherboard should I choose? To be honest, already ordered CPU and RAM for the HPE Server, Intel XEON 5218n (LGA 3647 Socket) and 128 GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM (I think), maybe I can use it them and buy related motherboard? Regards.
