Pre Purchase Questions re UnRaid usage
Thanks All, for the speedy replies. You've both confirmed what I thought, but wanted to make sure I didn't give myself any further issues, as It was enough having to play around with Bios settings after swapping to a different Older MOBO for the second Trial. Will need to try out the VM option, which hopefully will allow access to the UnRaid Array from within the Win 11 VM.

Pre Purchase Questions re UnRaid usage
Nooby !!!!! After a couple of successful Trial setups on different MOBO configs, I'm now looking to embark on the final setup with a purchased Key. Q1, Once booted, can the USB Stick be removed and stored for Future Use if and when required, and If so, how do you safely Eject USB? Q2, Do subsequent boots still need the USB Stick installed, or does the system boot from the Array ? Q3, Will a newly purchase Key come with Version 7 or Version 6 as per my Trial Key which was only downloaded yesterday. Q4, I'm planning to run a unassigned SSD Drive with Windows 11 installed. It works fine by going into the BIOS to switch the boot drive, but can this now be done without issues from within Version 7 Thanks for any advice Robert

Exchanging Motherboard using Trial version
Hi All, Nooby to UnRaid, but impressed by it simple setup in comparison to trying TrueNas a few days ago, definitely beyond my limited PC experience/knowledge. I've just installed UnRaid temporarily on my new build PC, (which is working fine), having temporarily stripped out the existing SSD/HDD's and installed 2 x 2TB HDD's that I removed from my old ReadyNas, so that I could test its functions before deciding whether to install UnRaid to use permanently as a NAS on another PC build. Q1. If I swapped out the current MOBO/CPU/RAM and replace it with the MOBO/CPU/RAM that I plan to use on the new NAS build, will it still Boot with the current (Memory Stick/Boot Device) and access the current Array, or will I need to Create a new ISO on a new Memory Stick, then rebuild the Array from scratch as per a completely new setup. Q2. If I plug in any of my other SSD/HDD's (which hold files I don't want to lose), will they automatically become part of the Array and therefore I would lose any data stored on them. Thanks for any advice Robert
