  1. I've been trying it for several days now without S3, and it's worked really well. Thanks again for the helpful tip!
  2. Thanks for that! I'll try removing the S3 plugin to see what happens.
  3. Hello dear Unraid community, I have been using Unraid for 8 months and since then I have had the problem that the server crashes almost daily 10 minutes after booting. For a long time, I thought it was a motherboard problem. Now I have found a way to save the syslog file on the boot USB stick and would like to upload it for you to analyze. To me, it now looks as if the server is deliberately shutting down. What could be the reason for this? Some additional information: after the second boot process, the server usually runs stably. ChatGPT thinks it could be a license problem. I should rename the license file to pro.key (or plus.key) and save it in the root folder. Does this make sense? As a precaution, I also renamed the Trial.key file to Trial.key_old. Thanks for any advice! Kind regards, Torsten syslog.txt
  4. Thanks a lot! I will try this! Edit: Yes, it works! Great and quick support here - unbelievable!
  5. The update to version 2025.03.06 has been running for > 2 hours. The exact message is "Attention - operation continues in background [00713016]". Should I cancel it or wait a little longer? If I cancel it, can I simply install it again? Thank you very much for your support.
  6. Hi everyone, I just created my first Duplicati docker, and wanted to create the first backup task. In the “Source data” step, I actually wanted to select folders within a share. But the GUI only shows the folders User Data, Computer and Source Data (empty). I do not understand this directory tree. I expected it to show me the shares, but it looks like a list of the Linux root folder. I tried to manually add a path /mnt/user/files/ , but the message "The path does not seem to exist. Would you like to add it anyway?" showed up. But I'm pretty sure the path exists How is it possible to backup the shares? Thanks a lot for some input!
  7. You're right that I haven't gotten deep into the system yet. At least I now have all the settings I want. Thanks for the tip about the community apps! Next I will install MariaDB to be able to connect Kodi.
  8. That sounds really great! I'll have to look into Dockers more, especially as Unraid doesn't offer nearly the range of functions than Synology does. That's why you probably have to add a lot of functions via Dockers or apps. Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with Linux scripts and don't want to delve into that. I hope that Unraid will continue to be developed over time and that some nice functions will be added.
  9. Many thanks for the tip! I assume they run much faster in the cache. I hope Docker is using some RAM, because I put 32 GB in the server. Unraid is only using 1 GB so far though.
  10. Yes, I read the Storage Management chapter, but unfortunately there was no step-by-step explanation of how to do it. Other sites have suggested adding the cache to the array. There should be a plus sign next to the device to add the M.2 to the array. Pretty confusing 😄 . In my desperation I even asked Copilot and Gemini, but they didn't come up with anything useful either. That's why the forum was my last resort.
  11. YES! It works! Thanks a lot for your great help! Most of the instructions on the Internet are pure garbage. That's why I'm glad to find such professional people here.
  12. Thank you, and what do I do if I have a pool cache? Should it be possible to assign it to a share? I already tried that, but the option was missing. Maybe I looked in the wrong spot.
  13. Maybe someone from the community can help me set up a cache. I am using Unraid 7, the M.2 is already installed and it appears under “Unassigned devices”. What would be the next step? I have already tried many instructions, but they all come to a point where it doesn't go any further. Usually the menu item described does not exist or the button is missing etc. I have already tried to assign the M.2 to a pool, but I cannot assign this pool cache to the shares. I am really grateful for any advice. Please have a look at my Main screen in the attachment.
