No disrespect taken. I've thought many times this is not for me. I don't want someone to do everything for me, but I'm so lost I don't know which way is up. I guess I was mainly just screaming in to the void and hoping someone would reply with a current and complete basic setup guide. I wiped everything out last week and tried to hit this fresh this weekend, but nothing went right yesterday. I've received a few replies here and on a post I made in a facebook group and have taken that advice to rewatch and reread some things. I still feel lost, but I'm gonna do what Dory says and just keep swimming.

I cannot wrap my head around how anything works or how to set anything up. Literally can't get anything installed/configured/working. Every guide I read or watch is out of date or assumes knowledge of so many things, I am unable to follow along. I have only successfully completed step 1. Set Up Shares and Folder Structure of https://trash-guides.info/Getting-Started/ Is there a service out there to truly guide someone new on getting a media server up and running? Or someone willing to help for a beer or twelve? Or better yet, anyone in the DFW area (Texas, USA) that can help? I would like to get VPN, qBittorrent, and an *Arr stack going if possible, but only must haves are a Jellyfin server to stream my DVD collection I am in the process of ripping and a way to serve up my audiobook collection.
