Hi! New here. I found your Cache Mover (Media Cacher) via github and I "think" it can do what I want. I'm wondering if there is anyway to repurpose the plugin for another source other than plex media files. I'd want the ability to point it to the lightroom files if I ever need to re-edit them. I use raw files in Lightroom, and my basic workflow is that I use my local SSD to process the .raw files, cull, edit, etc. I want to use an SMB share in Unraid to do this instead, as I don't want to worry about my single SSD dying for any reason, since my cache/array will be redundant. I don't think I'd have a problem editing the files over the local network as long as the files remain on the cache disks. But the main point is that, after I'm done editing, I want them to move to the array, as they don't need to be on the fast disks if all I'm doing is storing them. My question is: If I finish editing pictures and the data is on the array, how do I "move" the files to the cache without physically moving them to a different folder/share? The reason, if it matters, is that sometimes I go 1-2 weeks between having time to edit pictures. I don't want to set myself up to fail. A workaround that I see is just having two sets of folders: one on the cache that stays there and one on the array, that is slow. Then, after I'm done editing, I can just move them from share to share. I don't want to do that per se, as that is very manual and also relies on my desktop being online to sit through the transfer. I'd rather launch a script on the Unraid server and have it do it internally. I've googled some ideas and found some scripts, but they all refer to earlier versions of Unraid. Is there something "out there" now that does this? I didn't want to share without responses, but I found this plugin: https://github.com/alturismo/unraid-cache-mover. It's for moving Plex media files "live." I wouldn't mind that, but I'd prefer something geared toward what I'm looking for with Lightroom.

Hi Jztreso, What did you figure out? I'm looking at something similar but with lightroom picture files. What if I move them to the Array but need to edit the batch 1-2 weeks later? Thanks!
