    Dear all, since I deepdived into the topic of Mac performance with smb shares on unraid and solved my issues completely, I want to share my discoveries and therefore spare you the time of searching if you experience similar issues, bad connection to your server and so on... In my case the issue was completely on the router side and not an issue with unraid. I'm currently on version 7.3.2 and can confirm, that there are no performance issues with mac OS, finder and smb shares. I was using a internet providers router that came with my contract - this little router was the source of all my trouble, that let me read for weeks in all the forums... Now I'm using a better router and the providers box is just the gateway. All problems solved.
