Earlier today, I found out that you can apparently link shares or really any location on the unRAID OS to your VMs through VirtIO. I tried setting this up using a share I made as the source path and entering 'backup' for the tag. However, doing just this and nothing else, even on a new VM, completely breaks ethernet. The VM is running Ubuntu 24.04 and assigning this share, regardless of whether you actually mount it through any means, makes the default ethernet interface (which I believe is called enp1s0) disappear. It no longer appears in ifconfig and the VM can no longer access the internet. At first, it appeared that removing the share again fixed the issue, but now my VM seems to be permanently crippled as the interface refuses to come back. I do not have enough knowledge of networking on Linux to know how to get it to come back either. I cannot assess whether this issue appeared in 7.1.3 as I only just learned of this feature, after I had already upgraded. I'd also like to point out that selecting an existing share doesn't seem to do anything. If I select the 'backup' share and save the config, it's gone as soon as I come back. I also believe selecting a share in the dropdown is supposed to grey out the two manual fields, but this is not happening for me either.
