Unraid 7.1.4 - network interface keeps going down at 5am - More updates (11 July) and info and diagnostic zip attached - Help requested
Update: I managed to fix my original issue by downgrading back to my 6.x.x version. But after reverting back to my initial version, a new problem appeared, random total freezes within the first 24 hours. No screen output, no keyboard response. I even set the display to stay on permanently; it just shows the login after reboot, no errors, no hints. The system doesn’t respond to ICMP, nothing in DMESG and there’s zero traffic on the Ethernet port. It had been rock-solid for over a year before I upgraded. So I did a upgrade back to 7.1.4 again to verify my hardware was not going bad. But the freezing continued! I wasn’t sure if the network issue was still happening since the system froze completely. Then I read that version 7.1.3 was stable for many who had problems with 7.1.4, so I did a downgrade → upgrade dance back to 7.1.3. Still froze. A week of freezing later, I stumbled upon this post: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/137908-unraid-server-keeps-freezing/ which pointed me to the Arch Wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Ryzen#Soft_lock_freezing I’m running a Ryzen 5600, so I tried the suggested kernel parameters. Went to Main → Flash → Syslinux Configuration and appended the parameters recommended from the Archlinux wiki: kernel /bzimage append pcie_acs_override=downstream,multifunction initrd=/bzroot rcu_nocbs=0-11 processor.max_cstate=5 After adding rcu_nocbs and processor.max_cstate, my server’s been stable for over 30 hours — a record this past week. What puzzles me is: why was it perfectly stable before 7.1.4 upgrade? What changed? And why did it still crash even after downgrading to my previously rock-solid 6.x version?!

I also have this problem now, it stops working randomly. I dont think it is 05:00 exact but there is something happening then. Today I left the house around 07:50 and had contact with it as it has nginx proxy manger on it which i used to open the garage doors. But later that day around 08:30 it stopped working. I updated to 7.1.4 around 19th september I believe. (Not sure if this is logged somewhere?) Timeline: - 29.09 - Noticed around 07:55, reboot fixed it - 30.09 - Not sure when, but probaly noticed it crashed in the morning around 06:40-07:10 and rebooted it before i traveled to work and enabled remote syslog at 08:05 - 01.10 - Noticed around 09:30, known to wokr 07:54:41 as it was used then.
