  3. I am new to servers and unraid so forgive the newbie questions here, I built up the server and added a SSD cache drive to the pool, I then added my data drive which is a new 8tb and formatted this to xfs (in unraid), but I put this in the pool and transferred my data to it, ( no parity drive at this point) now I got another 8tb (new) and placed this as the parity drive in the array, at this point I realised I should have put the drive now in the pool as disk 1 in the array, I removed it from the pool and assigned it as disk 1, unraid seemed happy with this and said the parity drive will be overwritten, and did what I believe is a parity rebuild (took 15 hours) , everything now seems to work (shares ect) and no problem reading old data from it or transfering new data to it, my question is have I done anything wrong here? and will there be any problem in the future because I now also believe it should have been zeroed out before using in the array, or does the parity rebuild zero any unused space on the data disk? Sorry for the long winded explanation!!! Thanks.....
