  1. Makes sense, thanks a lot for the help and explanations!
  2. Oh i see... thanks. But then, could that mean that my former build wasn't relying on UEFI, or that my USB wasn't created in that way? (it was ages ago, i can't remember lol)
  3. YES, that did it! Thanks a lot SimonF 🙂!! The renaming of the folder from EFI- to EFI was the ticket. I suspect switching from CSM back to UEFI was automatic, because i spotted a message mentioning no VBIOS support right before the server rebooted. Would you please explain why removing the hyphen "-" from the folder name resolved the issue, and how/why the hyphen appeared at some point in the first place?
  4. Yes, there's an EFI- folder on my flash drive. I will try and rename it.
  5. No, I've disabled fastboot right from the start 😐
  6. Yes, I've set it up as IGD, and the monitor is connected to the VGA out on the motherboard itself.
  7. Hi everybody! Last week i ran into some serious issues (well, seriously annoying for sure) with my server (constantly rebooting without even POSTing). After several attempts at troubleshooting for hardware issues and pressed by time to regain access to my work documents, i took the fast option and got a new motherboard, cpu and RAM. These are the following : MSI B560M-A PRO Intel Core i5-10400, 2,9 GHz G.Skill 2x4 GB DDR4-2400 And i'm currently running unRAID 6.9.2 My problem is the following : unless there's a graphics card plugged in the PCIe, the server won't boot to unRAID and instead stays on the BIOS screen. When the graphics card is present, unRaid boots correctly but the screen stays blank, and i can't see the invite screen where i can choose between unRAID OS, GUI, Safe mode etc. Both the motherboard and CPU have intergrated graphics, so i don't understand why a graphics card woud be mandatory for the server to run. Where do i start to fix this? Thanks for your help!

My setup is brand new but it is installed in an old second hand Enlight EN8950 Server Case that has a few dings and scratches... It must be around 15 years old, i guess. It looks like this: It is ugly and bland and it weighs a ton, and i have to use these adapter bracket thingies to hold the drives in place but on the plus side: - it's built like a tank - it's roomy! i have complete access to everything just by removing the side door, and i can fit nine drives total (and i'm guessing that i should be able to squeeze a couple of hdd cages in there as well). - it's well ventilated - the case sits in the basement, and the average drive temperature is around 25-30°C when at full charge. Here a shot of my own rig: Cheers!
