  1. Ok, thanks, ChatNoir and Frank1940! I've decided to run the Step 9 rsync command and look for any stdout! Let you know what happens
  2. Hi all: I've started the process to convert to XFS, using the mirroring process on this post: https://wiki.unraid.net/index.php/File_System_Conversion#Mirroring_procedure_to_convert_drives I've completed up to Step 8 successfully, copying my Disk 2 to Disk 8 (my swap drive). However, when I see the final Disk2 "Used" amount and compare to the Disk 8 "Used" amount, they are slightly different. (1.20 TB vs 1.23 TB, respectively) I've done a bunch of random file checking on Disk 8, and the file copy appears to be good. But I'm concerned something may be wrong as they don't match identically (and when I continue the steps in the process, and activate Disk8 in place of Disk 2, something will "break".) Step 9 talks about performing a checksum, and I've researched the "-rcvPX" command, but am not finding enough clarity to know whether the command will correct any differences, by erasing or adding files to make them identical. So, I turn to you good people for any guidance you may wish to provide 🙂 Thanks! tower-diagnostics-20221209-1537.zip
  3. ok, thanks. I did that, swapped bays with another disk and and it seemed to recognize it. Right now it's building parity and I got this diagnostic report. still showing emulation on the GUI tower-diagnostics-20181218-2157.zip
  4. Here's the current diagnostics if it helps tower-diagnostics-20181218-2131.zip
  5. Thanks! But, shoot. When I restarted the array (not a reboot), it shows the disk is missing and there's no option to run a smart report. I was able to check filesystem status, but that didn't give me smart report. I am able to get smart reports on all my other disks, but not this one. What's the trick?
  6. Hello good people, I got a red X on my disk6 drive running xfs. Would someone help me to diagnose if the drive is still good? Have attached the smart report thanks in advance tower-smart-20181218-1906.zip
  7. Ok, all is now well in my unRaid set up. I couldn't actually decipher where the config files were for duplicati, so I made a complete backup in case I overwrote anything. Then I learned about paths within dockers and it made sense, and I could see that my old settings were correct. So I hit apply and everything came back up just as it was. Next on my agenda is to -export my duplicati json files, in case I ever need to recover. Same goes for other configs within dockers. -see if I can access my duplicati backups outside of the docker and unraid (I think I can), in case my unraid server was stolen. - rebalance my drives as many are near the limit and others are under utilized. - try to upgrade to xfs on all drives. Big thanks for everyone's help here, especially trurl and jonathanm! You guys bailed me out and got things humming again on my unraid!
  8. Ok. Great thanks for everyone's help so far. I will begin my study this weekend of dockers, hosts and paths and come back to this thread when i have more insight.
  9. Great, so I've started the process. I tried Krusader and that seems to be all fine. Next I went to Plex, and I had some internal settings within Plex that were not the most current (remember my "A" and "B" at the beginning of the thread? This was my A settings (essentially just directory locations), but I patched in B settings and it worked. There may be other things, but I will figure it out). Ok, then moving on to duplicati, which is the one I'm most fearful of not being able to recover intact with all my settings & connections to onedrive (I switched when Crashplan for home user was shutdown by the company. My view was that getting Office 365 with 5 TB for a family subscription made the most economical sense). Before I hit Apply, I have been reviewing the Container Setup because I don't want to lose my setup. Now, this might have nothing to with anything, and may not impact my setup, but I really don't understand hosts, paths, etc. The reason I was able to make this work originally is because I watched one of SpaceInvader One's excellent tutorials. Here's the video I followed, and his setup is far simpler (I took a screenshot of his settings), and I would have copied his exactly (am 98% sure) But yet, when you look at my settings, there are 4 Host Paths, so the Container was probably updated since he did his video. The ultimate question is should I hit Apply, or should I be making some more adjustments to ensure my old setup will return intact? thanks, once more. I think we're just about at the end of this!
  10. Done. I deleted the image, and here's how it sits now. (also doublechecked the cache settings on each share)
  11. Ok, done. Do you need to see another screenshot of the whole thing? I've attached a screenshot of just appdata and system, showing they are just on the cache drive now.
  12. I don't know. I cleared out the appdata ..it was those ..DS store files. Here's the Disk 6 System data. Can I delete?
  13. Great Yeah, that worked great. I'm pretty familiar with MC as I was on 4.7 for a long time and used it frequently. W OK, so I've reached the last step of trurl's instructions: "After all that, go to the User Shares page and click Compute All and when it's done post a screenshot. After we get your shares where they need to be we can work on the other problems." Here are the screenshots requested of the Compute All. Let me know what to do next. I'm mostly worried about the Duplicati (the rest I can rebuild, if needed). I have all my settings inside the Duplicati docker and never exported my configs, stupidly.
  14. ok, here's my latest. I tried to do the replacement name but soon learned that the amount of files to execute this on is outrageous. So, I am at the point where I just want to clean Disk 6 of all appdata (Crahsplan and Plex) and be done with it. After all the previous steps, all of the data should be, in one state or another, on my cache drive. However, when I try to delete the files, I get a permissions error. I read that New Permissions function apparently will also not affect permissions as the appdata folder is protected, for safety reasons. So, how can I proceed?
  15. ok, I manually cleaned some files (carefully) and carried on to step 5,6, and 7. At this Step 7, I get stuck again because after the mover finished, I can still see that appdata and system have data on Disk 6 (see screenshots). (Diagnostics attached after last "move now" push) Is this again because I have duplicate file names? If so, what is the best strategy to fix the situation? I only care about these dockers, so the rest can be deleted: dupeGuru duplicati kde PlexMediaServer I would imagine I find the duplicate filenames, and then delete one according to the date (or rename it to something else like .TEMP) it might help? tower-diagnostics-20180425-2045.zip
