Sorry, I am away from the machine at the moment as we have popped out. When I get back I will send... however where it dhows UnRaid on the top left of the screen there is no version number underneath, which there used to be. After I updated the O/S I'd doesn't show version on dashboard anymore, which is why I added a screenshot of servers console login. I will send whole screen when back at machine. thanks Thanks... As I said above, I am trying to buy a licence, not extend it, but the system says unraid is out of date and needs to be upgraded in order to purchase a licence... but it is upgraded to v7 and I still am unable to buy a licence. Can someone help resolve this? Thanks

I am trying to buy a full licence but when I click the purchase a key link I get a page saying the O/S needs to be updated in order to buy a key - but I have already upgraded to v7.0.1 - so is anyone able to assist with this?? I just rebooted the server (again) and at the login prompt on the server, it shows UnRAID version as 7.0.1 - so am not sure why its saying its too old to purchase a key?

Hi I built an UnRAID server for a friend in 2023... before the trial period finished he stopped using it because of life events. Anyway he asked me to reinstate it today, so I booted it up and sure enough the trial shows as expired in October 2023. It wouldnt let me extend, or licence the server without updating the O/S. So, I updated using the update O/S option from the dashboard - it went through the motions and where previously it showed v6.4.xx on the dashboard, the version has now disappeared... so I think it should have updated to the latest version. If I check for updates from dashboard it just takes me to a blank page. If I try to purchase a key, it takes me to a web page saying; It shows the GUID of the USB key, but there is no, obvious, option to purchase a key... can anyone help? Thanks

Hi Guys I am unable to log in to deluge - I know the password, but everytime I try to log in I get an error message saying "Login Failed - You entered an incorrect password". I am not sure if the password has somehow become corrupt or someone has managed to get in and change it - but sonarr and radarr are also saying they cant connect - so I am not sure what has gone wrong. I am searching for a way of resetting the password, or removing it to allow me to reconfigure the system... can anyone advise? Many thanks

Wow, I never knew that - thanks for linking to that post, its put my mind at rest, when I saw such massive numbers I was thinking that the disk must be on its last legs! I dont think I have ever had an extended SMART test get past 10% - but if 24hrs is only reaching 10%, logically its going to take 10 days + to complete a whole test... so for me this isnt practical. I bought a second hand 6Tb SATA disk and before adding to my array I wanted to check it was healthy. I ran a 1-pass preclear which was successful... interestingly the disk showed zero power-on-hours, implying it was new. I dont know if someone has managed to reset the S.M.A.R.T data!! Anyway, I ran the extended self-test but it has been stuck at 10% for about 14 hours now; I am assuming that this could be a bug and the test has finished as I was able to download the results. However there are a couple of readings which I would expect to be zero too and was wondering whether anyone who understands the S.M.A.R.T Report better than I do, can let me know if the attached report looks healthy? I am concerned as it shows a Raw_Read_Error_Rate = 148109952 and Seek_Error_Rate = 12147507 which to me seems that this is a faulty disk? Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks @JorgeB I cant replace the cable as its on an HP proliant and plugs straight into the backplane... so will get a new cache disk and clone the original then replace and see if that fixes it. Thanks

Morning all I'm hoping someone can help with an annoying problem I have had for a while. For some reason the docker service stops and says its unavailable... it used to happen from time to time, but recently it seems to be becoming more frequent. The only way to restart it seems to be to reboot the host server. This last time the server has only been up for three days and I had to restart to get the docker service back I have attached latest diags in the hope someone can help with a fix? Thanks @Frank1940 - I will take a look through the documents on the link you sent and see if I am able to implement a better way of achieving this. At the moment as long as a user is logged on to their local machine using the same credentials they can seamlessly access their mapped private shares... but if MS are changing things more, which will cause these kind of issues I guess I need to make some changes to ensure people can access their files Thanks

OK, I am not sure whether this was the cure, but as nobody was able to offer any advice, I updated the O/S to the latest stable version as I was 1 version behind and it seems to be OK again for the moment... so, fingers crossed it was some corruption on the restored O/S.

Interestingly, on my Windows 11 laptop I can access the private shares... but my wife is unable to access her data, on her Windows 11 laptop, so I have had to set her share to public... so, I am not sure what is going on!

A quick update - I now cant access any shares whether public or private. From my windows PC is I use \\192.168.xx.xxx (Unraid IP), I usually get a list of all the shares and can map them. Now I get a login prompt and even if I use the root credentials I get an error...

Hi All I had my USB key fail today, saying there was a checksum error, so I restored my backup on the same key - I've had this before so do realise I need to update my key again, but have used the automated key replacement process back in January - so am unable to do this again... and havent had time to email in for a key change. So, my question is this... the machine is back up and running, but all my private shares (SMB) are inaccessible. If I set them to public then I can map and access them from my Windows PC, but if they are set to private with my user as having read & write permissions I am unable to access them. I have checked my user password by resetting it in UnRAID in case it had been corrupted... but I am running out if ideas now 🙂 This is the error; I have attached diags too - but can anyone help as I dont really want my kids accessing my personal files Thanks unraid-diagnostics-20240610-1729.zip

Thanks - that confirms the original error from the original host. Its now 16hrs into an extensive test and still says progress is 40%... so will bin it - thanks

How long should the Extended SMART test take? Its been running for 8 hours now and hasnt moved from 40% in hours - it says its still running, but also says it failed at 60%;

OK, when I went to lunch the disk showed - "self-test in progress, 90% complete", when I got back it said disk was spun down, spin up to get results... when I spin it up it shows "self-test in progress, 90% complete" - so am not sure if this is 'stuck'. Attributes shows; Identity shows;

Thanks @itimpi - the only spare machine I have is my UnRAID server, and it has a tool-less slot to add disks, so is very easy. Anyway, I have plugged the first failed disk in and immediately got a warning... Closely followed by this; So, will start an extensive SMART test and see what it reports. Thanks
