  1. reviving and old thread.  I have been using the command line

    /usr/bin/rsync -avrtH --delete /mnt/cache/ $BackupDir >> $LogFile

with out a problem but when i add a excludes.txt file  with the following command line

    /usr/bin/rsync -avrtH --delete /mnt/cache/ --exclude-from=/mnt/user/backups/excludes.txt $BackupDir >> $LogFile

i get "mkdir "boot/scripts/ /mnt/user/backups/unRAID_cache' failed; do such file or directory

I am confused why i would be getting that error message if i am just adding and exclude statement?

    thanks

  2. I've restarted the container and even completely removed it.  Latest version of unbalance and version 6.1.2 of unraid.

This shows up in the log:

Can you go the command line and show me the output of

    $ df --block-size=1 /mnt/disk*

I added a few drives over the last couple of weeks.  When ever i added hem I had to restart the unraid server before unbalance would see them as having disk space available..

  3. I assume you are saying that you cannot browse the files in the webgui using a MAC?  Are you using Safari?

The file browse is built into unRAID.  Try to browse files on a disk by clicking on the folder with a magnifying glass all the way to the right of the disk information line and see if that acts the same way.

I am trying to browse the folder in finder not the web gui..

Try setting the read only setting off in the recycle bin settings.  Make the recycle bin read/write.

Nope still gives the error message...  hmm

  5. Just updated and started your plugin.  I deleted a few test files and it works Works great from a window box as i can browse the recycle bin folder, however from the mac box i get "the operation can't be completed because the original item for recycle bin can't be found.I have the mac set up to delete the .DS_store files using blue harvest and have disabled able it thinking that might have been the issue.  But still get the same error message from the mac.  Any ideas?

  6. Yes, but he is convinced the xfs recycle plugin is what did it.  I have unassigned devices on my test server and had the issue there, but I don't see how the xfs recycle plugin could do anything to bring that in.

He says he has never had unassigned devices installed.  Strange.

I am the user that was having the documento issue. I am sure that I was affected with the bug creating the smb-share file. Which it appears that you have located.  I am not sure about the documento share. I still have not tracked down a reason for that to occur.  Ian grateful for your work on this and look forward to trying it again later this morning..

I just updated to the new plugin and I am no longer having my shares disappear.  I still have yet to figure out why the documento folder happened.  If I had installed that plugin it would have been removed many months ago.  I guess it is possible I just don't remember ever installing it.

thanks for your work on this :o)

Let me know if it occurs again.  If it does, please get me a copy of the /boot/config/smb-extra.conf.

  8. Ran the update and now all my shares have disappeared except for a new one "Documentos" Rolling back to 6.1 does not restore my shares.  How do i get my shares back?

I have removed the plugin VFS_Recycle and got everything back.  Goes to show your i need to watch those plugins more carefully!

That didn't come from the vfs_recycle plugin.  It came from here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=38635.msg407383#msg407383

I have never had Auto Mount USB installed.  In my case it was the VFS plugin..

It's unassigned devices, not Auto Mount USB.  Did you install unassigned devices and then remove it today just to see what it was?  There was an issue in gfjardim's first release today.  I did notice in your log it wasn't installed.

My test/development server has a copy of unassigned devices, but there is no way that any user share stuff is intentionally put into the vfs_recycle distribution.

I'm at a total loss how vfs_recycle could possibly install a user share full of gfjardim's unassigned devices stuff.

Do you use the powerdown plugin?  If you do can you post the last few logs?  The log history is at /boot/logs and have a time stamp.

I use power down but with the issue power down would freeze. so no clean power down.  The plugins that are listed are the only ones that i have installed for the longest time.  I have never had unassigned devices that I can remember.  f i did it was maybe more than a year ago.  The only thing i have added in the last few weeks was the VFS plugin.  I have been doing a lot of file moves the last week and have rebooted at least 3 times a day for the last 5 days.  I did not have the problem until the 6.1.1 release.  My last reboot before the upgrade was this morning with out incidence. However after 6.1.1 is when the issue occurred.  I have since removed the VFS plugin and have rebooted twice with the issue gone.

    Plesase post your /boot/config/smb-extra.conf file.

I do not have a smb-extra file as i have removed the VFS plugin.  When i did have it installed I never started/configured it or used it.  I was still moving files around when I installed it and figured that I would look at it later.

  11. Just upgraded and now I get "the array is not operational. please start the array first."  I did not add

A new volume  ("/usr/local/sbin").  What would it be mapped to?

Hi derbtv, it should be mapped to "/usr/local/sbin".

    I got it thanks..

  12. Today I'll continue to try to make it to hang from remote and after, I'll make it hang on local and I'll test the above commands and I'll report results.

I'm confused by what you mean by remote. Could you describe what you are doing?

By remote: accessing web interface NOT by local LAN clients but from a different LAN connected by VPN (slower connection since it have to pass through internet).

I am not trying to join the band wagon but I have  few locks of rc3 and rc4.  In rc3 they appeared to be related to Dockers.  However in rc4 I have had web lock ups in the last 24 hours when switching from page to page quickly.

    I love U bro'...  :P

What NIC brand are you using in both unRAID and client machine?

Both on gigabit? One of them on wireless LAN?

Unraid is Supermicro - X9SCL/X9SCM Baremetal

remote machines are both a Mac and a ESXI win 7 VM...

    All GIG all the way

  13. I did have an unclean shutdown and had to fix the usb stick in windows.  That i pretty much knew would happen.  However my bigger concern is losing the config files on the cache file.  It seems that the combination of the two did something to the Docker config files stored.

I can see how a problem with your flash might affect your docker templates. It shouldn't have any affect on files on the cache drive though. Is your apps share set to cache-only? If not then mover has moved them to the array.

They are set to cache only..  It really made for a long Saturday as I have to go through all of the settings by hand to reconfigure them.  For example sickbeard lost all of the shows.

  14. Not sure where to post it so please move if i am not correct.

I came across a issue that I would like to see if anyone else has any input on.

I am currently running the latest rc3 version and attempted setup the APC settings in unraid.  In doing so I accidentally unplugged my usb adapter.  well hell i figure I would plug it back in and reboot.  Upon rebooting all of my docker apps had defaulted to the factory INI files.  My docker is set to disk 1 and the files are configured to run off my cache drive. I am not sure why disconnected the usb would cause the cache files to change.  But i did lose all of the config files on the cache drive.  The dockers all started correctly other than i had to re-setupp all of their settings.  plex, plexwatch, sabnzdb,sickbed...

    Docker Images /mnt/disk1/docker.img

    Cache drive /mnt/cache/apps/"docker folders'

    thanks

  15. Welp we have it figured out.  It is the freaking temp files created by my mac.  I have deleted all of them and it is working as expected..  Thanks I do have another question.. When some drives it tells me that it is going to completely free up and others it only clears up a portion.  Any ideas how to tell what it is not going to move and why?

  16. I have had this issue for a while and wanted to try and figure out why i am getting this error.  I have set up all of my directories and a few of the drives will move correctly.  however some give me the error message "undefined is not an object (evaluating 'data.condition')  Followed up with XHR failed for calculateBestFit.  Any ideas what is wrong.

    Hi derbtv,

From the log I see that it crashes trying to read some folder located at /mnt/disk8/ISOImages.

If you're ok with dropping to the command line, would you try these two commands:

    ls -al /mnt/disk8/ISOImages

to check ownership/permissions. Ownership should be nobody:users and permissions should allow the file/folder to be read

    du -bs /mnt/disk8/ISOImages/*

that's the command the app is crashing on, so it would be nice to see what it's actually doing

    ls -al /mnt/disk8/ISOImages[/code

    drwxrwxrwx  3 nobody users  80 Feb 11  2014 ./

    drwxrwxrwx 13 nobody users 312 May 10 09:13 ../

    drwxrwxrwx  3 nobody users 112 May 10 19:40 .TemporaryItems/

    /mnt/disk8/ISOImages/*

du: cannot access ‘/mnt/disk8/ISOImages/*’: No such file or directory

    thanks
