  1. You cannot run the LSI utility on a M1015 natively...the card needs to be wiped first. Use the toolset "LSIMegaRAID to SAS2008" provided by the OP to convert the card, here:http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12767.msg121131#msg121131 Follow all the steps as pointed out in the enclosed readme and you should do fine. Those are the files I am using. Thats where i am stuck at. I have made it to step 4(reboot) When I go to step 5 it tells me that there are no LSI adapters installed. I have tried both the p10 an p11 files. Not sure what steps to take next. I am sure I just need the correct sas2flsh.exe for the card I have tried everyone that i can find
  2. what boards have you tried it on? also where are you located? if your in Chicago, I'll do it for free. Located in DC. I have tried with a Asus P8Z68, SuperX9CFM-F two dells and and older asus that slips my mind at the moment. Really busting my chops at this time. I would be willing to send them to you are are up for it. Ok I am able to run the sas2flsh on my unraid box super micro x7sbe. However it is not finding any LSI adapters. I was able to run the commands to clean it and restart. It no longer has lights on it when booting up. And when i try to run the sas2flsh flash it it says it can not find any adapters. The command i am using is sas2flsh -o -f 2108it.bin -b mptsas2.rom Any thoughts or clues? thanks

I have officially run out of boards to attempt it on. I am unable to flash them with any of the 5 mother boards I have. I am starting to pull whats left of my hair out. At this point I am willing to pay to have some one do them for me. Any takers?

  11. I am currently running the release version (4.7) with a drive mounted outside of the array (/dev/sdk). When I try to upgrade it mounts the wrong drive causing it to give the error missing drive. When I remove the commands to mount the drive outside of the array, it boots fine. But the drive that I want out side of the array is still showing as /dev/sdk. Is there a way to get the drive to mount outside of the array. what am i missing..

  16. I have to be missing something here. I can not get the script to run even in test mode. t the command prompt i enter the script name and it goes right back to a command prompt. I have made sure the permissions are set correctly and changed the variable in the script true for testing but it is not running. thoughts?
  17. What Log-Level do you have set in Transmission? Anything but "no Logging" fills the syslog pretty quickly. I like to see stuff being logged but Transmission does an excessive amount, so I turned it off. I have it set to 1. This is not about filling up my syslog but getting it to run before airvideo. If it reboot and have it start automatically airvideo does not want to run. if i have them both set to run on boot airvideo gives the atd memory error message...
  18. atd is probably the "at" daemon. You've probably run out of memory... How much RAM do you have? Joe L. ... I have 4 gig Should be enough unless a program has a memory "leak" (which is very possible) Suggest running a memory test preferable overnight just to be sure it is not a bad RAM strip. I have airvideo running for some time at boot up. I started getting these same error messages. I had switched to from rtorrent to transmission a little while ago. Did not think about it until i started getting these messages. To resolve it for me was to disable transmission on reboot and leave airvideo starting at reboot. After the machine is up and running i just turn transmission back on. Just stopping transmission did not work, it required a reboot. Looks like for me transmission is causing the problem..
  19. Not sure where to ask this question. I have unmenu installed and using the email notification script. It was working perfectly when i was on 4.5.6. I had upgraded to 4.5.8. Whenever i reboot my unraid server the machine always does a parity check. Don't really mind this and never thought about it. Receive email notifications throughout the time telling me on an hourly basis of how much time is left as well as percentage complete. Now here is the weird problem, since upgrading both 4.5.8 and the latest unmenu. I keep getting emails every hour saying that it is "Parity CHECK/RESYNC in progress, 0% complete, est. finish in 0 minutes. Speed: 0 kb/s." even after it has completed. The mymenu and "unraid mani" both say Parity has been completed and is ok. What is going on?
  20. You Rock! Yes I have been using it a long time, Mostly hand loaded what I wanted to run. but really just started playing with the package manager I love the work you have done and look forward to playing with any new additions that you add. Thanks Solved... fixed version will be downloaded if you "Check for updates" The issue was the 4 package files I highlighted in RED above. You've been using unMENU's package manager for a long time, haven't you. The original set of files had leading numbers. I replaced those a long time ago with ones without leading numbers. It is not so much the naming convention but that the original files had more than one downloadable-package defined in a single file. The "save-edits" code was expecting a 1-to-1 correspondence between the packages and the files, in other words, it expected the Nth file to have the Nth package. Since you had those old files, the Nth file actually had the N+2th package once you got past the first few files. The effect was it was trying to edit the wrong file. I did not see the error here since none of my package.conf files are the older ones where multiple packages were defined. (They became too much of a problem when only one of the links had to be modified, so I adopted one package per file thereafter as a convention) I fixed the code to not rely on the 1-to-1 correspondence of packages to files, so the fixed version should now work for you, but you should remove the few packages listed below as they are no longer needed (and the download links in them so old as to not work anyway) Delete these files: /boot/packages/10-unmenu-package.conf /boot/packages/100-unmenu-apcupsd-package.conf /boot/packages/20-unmenu-package.conf /boot/packages/200-unmenu-package.conf If you had not had those files, everything would have worked as it does here. Since you did have those files, you helped find a bug in my logic. Thanks. Let me know how it works once you get the updated version, even before you delete those files. Then, delete those files with the leading numbers. Joe L.

Yes, on your system it is attempting to apply the changes to the wrong file. Now to figure out why. If you don't mind, can you show me the output of the following command: ls -al /boot/packages/*-unmenu-*package*.conf I think we might be getting closer to the reason you are not seeing values get saved... It should not be hard to fix once I understand what is going on. You will have helped me a lot by working with me to solve this. Joe L.
  22. Are you using the most current of unRAID 1.3 files? If not, then that might be the iissue. When did you download/install them? The issues you are describing are identical to some I faced when I was originally writing the page. If you click on the "About" page, what version does it give for the package manager plugin file 990-unmenu-wget.awk? Mine shows this: 990-unmenu-wget.awk: 2.3 Modified to select package and then only show selected package. - Revision: 95 When you look at the top of the .ds removal scripts, what version is shown there? Mine shows this: head -1 /boot/packages/ds_store_cleanup-unmenu-package.conf #UNMENU_RELEASE $Revision: 97 $ $Date: 2010-05-16 11:01:17 -0400 (Sun, 16 May 2010) $ What version of unRAID are you running? Can you tell me the values you have in the editable fields? The only other thing you can try that might give more clues is to modify the plug-in file itself to enable a bit of extra stuff to be output to the screen. You can do that by executing the following command: sed -i "s/^#theHTML = theHTML cmd/theHTML = theHTML cmd/" /boot/unmenu/990-unmenu-wget.awk It will remove the "#" at the front of line 465. You will then see the stream-edit commands being used to edit the file. When I then save the edited values I see this at the top of the package manager screen (here I was changing the 1 back to a zero) sed -i "s~||vPrint=1 ||~||vPrint=0||~" /boot/packages/ds_store_cleanup-unmenu-package.conf sed -i "s~||vDS_REMOVAL_TIME=40 3 \* \* \*||~||vDS_REMOVAL_TIME=40 3 * * *||~" /boot/packages/ds_store_cleanup-unmenu-package.conf sed -i "s~||vUSF_REMOVAL_TIME=40 3 \* \* \*||~||vUSF_REMOVAL_TIME=40 3 * * *||~" /boot/packages/ds_store_cleanup-unmenu-package.conf I'll be curious to see what it shows on yours. Joe L.

  24. I am pressing it but it always converts back to the original values. I have started editing the conf files manually to make the changes but can not for the life of me figure out why they are not staying through the interface.. For example the .ds removal script. If i change it to to notify me of files delete by changing the 0 to a 1. When i press the button to save changes it shows it there but when i press the button to re-install with editable variables it re-installs but reverts back to the default settings of "0"
  25. when you change the options in mail script for example where are the changes saved? For some reason all the editable changes for the scripts are not saving for me..
