  1. I guess 'agile' is not part of limetechs mantra
  2. Wonder if limetech are going to document or implement any of these performance improvements and suggestions centrally somewhere. Thank you everyone for your research here!
  3. I'm also noticing stutter when i pin the HT CPUs, will experiment more later...
  4. This needs to be stickied. How do we do the same for Dockers? Does the set-cpu command work?
  5. Seems like selling a complete server is not easy! Will also post on reddit.
  6. Pre-Built unRAID Server - £700 Hey everyone, i’m selling my first server here, which a great one to keep in the living room and prepared especially for a 2-in-1 gaming/HTPC + unRAID scenario. This is what it was used for so far and was only bought a year ago. Would rather it went to an unRAID-er here! I purchased a case and an SSD for cache in order to keep it, but realised i have no space for it, so i’d like to give it a new home. Everything has been tested and working on unRAID. You just need to add: licence, up to 8 drives and 4 more of those SilverStone cables if you’re going for an 8 drive setup. You can also add one more 2.5" Cache drive if you need. I guess i can ship to the UK or Europe, but we’ll have to talk rates. Otherwise, London pickup works best. Price: £800 Let me know if you have any questions, thoughts or just want a chat. Case: Fractal Design Nano 804 Windowed Black (New) Motherboard: SuperMicro X10SL7-F CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230 v3 RAM: 32GB Crucial ECC DDR3-1600 (2xCT2KIT102472BA160B) SSD: Samsung 850 PRO 256GB (New) GPU: MSI GTX 960 Gaming 2G PSU: Seasonic X Series Platinum FANLESS 460W HSF: Scythe Shuriken REV.B Cables: SilverStone CP11B-500 (low profile to fit under GPU) USB: 8GB Generic USB Stick included, mounted internally, tested for unRAID Photos: New Price!
  7. This seems interesting, but hasn't been worked on since February 13. Do you think he's stopped?
  8. This sounds like a great idea for a plugin of sorts, is there one or did you manually enter cron jobs?
  9. Cache clearning didn't help, but IE 11 did the trick. I dont know why i didn't even think about that... THanks guys. Boniel not sure if you can repeat this or how i can help more to fix..
  10. I'm having an odd issue, i have previously adjusted the number of possible slots for drive additions to be visible to 7, but now when i change to 8 (or more) the web interface crashes instantly, and i have to reboot from ssh to get unraid working again... 6.1.9 SOLVED: Used IE11 in private mode and it worked fine.
  11. I have given up on passing the SATA/USB controller card... unRAID 6.2 fixed most performance issues for now...
  12. I don't know what fatal combination caused it, but it was on my test machine, and its running 6.2 now so i don't want to go back Actually 6.2 fixed many issues for me, including SSD performance...
  13. @RobJ, agreed. I have pre-cleared all the Seagate drives twice before adding, yet that still appeared on hour 50. Admittedly, i've had 2 more develop the same issue and one of them has died (but that might be because i dropped it from 2 meters while it was offline!).
  14. I have a drive that has this reported at 50 hours, but has been running for 18000 hours... how strange, so i can ignore?
  15. Hey guys, i am also trying to passthrough an ASMedia 1062 controller, but it isn't 40 seconds for me, it takes 20 minutes to get into Windows Setup when i pass it through and then i can't install on the drive attached to the controller. Anyone else with this issue? Posted about it here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=46664.msg458938#msg458938
  16. You left the Hyper-V option to Yes, correct? The ASMedia OPROM takes very long to find the SSD, it is fine on bare metal. Then, I can't install windows by passing through that ASMedia controller. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get past the first spinning dots, about 15 minutes to get to selecting a location to install, then it fails by saying it can't be formatted. Also, the USB controller just doesn't work at all. Everything works fine on bare metal. And i've run tests for the SSD and GPU, all fine. Without any controller passthrough, the VM would install just fine on an img on cache. PCIE ACS enabled, X10SL7-F, tried OVMF and its the same, tried Q35, same, tried hyper-v on/off, same... 6.2 Beta 20. I've just unstubbed the devices and i realised that unRAID is not seeing the SATA or USB devices attached to the controller... I am using a PCI-E Riser cable to go from my 8x into a 16x, then put this card in there. I am guessing its that pericom device which appears 3 times in my system devices. I have tried stubbing it to pass through, but it does not appear in the list of devices to pass through. Any ideas here... wonder if its because it repeats 3 times? Diagnostic attached... It would be a shame if it is the card, as its the only USB/SATA combo card i could find! Is there any diagnostic log i could look at to see why its just taking so long to do anything? tower-diagnostics-20160327-0743.zip
  17. I guess, never shut down? It's an odd one for sure! Maybe post diagnostics here after you've run through the shutdown.
  18. With a passmark score of 746, i will agree with the above. At least you have a great case!
  19. Just use a newer virtio, solved a few of my issues.
  20. Check your log, any errors there? It might be that its one of those cards that doesn't load its ROM properly. I had this issue with a GT430.
