reason being possible vulnerabilities on my router that can be leveraged for fun and games by people that are script kiddies. so rather be paranoid and i know it's quite simple to find out if they really wanted too but i just feel a little bit of sanity by not publishing the info.? will look in apps thanks for that...? -
At the risk of sounding lame...[OpenVPN question]
abs0lut.zer0 replied to abs0lut.zer0's topic in Plugin System
For obvious reasons I don't wanna publish the make and model of my router here. Tried the vpn server of it and it's a cheap router and cannot seem to connect. Have tried various protocols and articles from the vendor's website to no success. Is there no type of plugin for connecting to unraid from outside my network? Thanks for any help. -

Thanks a lot for that explanation itimpi, I get it now so I will just use the fix common problems output and then delete the duplicates from the file system level and then monitor if it happens again. Thanks for all the help .... Appreciated.
-
As I have explained it's not an isolated case so I do not know how to replicate the problem unless I manually copy onto disk share instead of unRAID share so I am just asking the community if any one has a easier solution than excel vba or the scripts mentioned in the other posts. So I will just monitor this post if any one else has some tips for this known problem.
-
So are these people also doing something wrong? If that is true please explain so we can avoid the duplication on our side... Thank you
-
I ONLY use /mnt/user to copy files to my unRAID box and the various shares I have under that mount point, so I was saying that it is not users creating the duplicates on purpose. I am not trying to start a blame game here I am just looking for an easy solution. The fix common problem plugin brought these duplicates to my attention and I am seeing a lot of them.
-
Hey All Surely by now there should be a EASY solution to this as it is caused by unRAID itself and not a user fault. So does LimeTech have a solution to their problem? or is there at least a easy way of finding dupes and getting rid of them. I hope I am not opening a can of worms with this post BUT there should be some kind of solution from the company by now as this problem is as old as the product itself.... Thanks for any help [and yes I have done searches and found solutions but there should be an official one from LimeTech by now ...]

Please ignore I am having a Kodi problem but i don't think it is related after more grunt work. I DO have folders that are inaccessible in Kodi but from my win10 laptop also can't get to them, trying workarounds from the terminal.

Hey All Just some info if any one knows why? I have a Mecer ME-2000-VU 2000VA/1200W Line Interactive UPS I upgraded to unRAID 6.4 from the version before and then when i rebooted NUT would not start. Tried all sorts uninstalled reinstalled and nothing. Then read a post here and set all to default and port to auto and manually ran the nut start. Now working again. I have made no changes to the config before the upgrade is there something I need to do to keep it from happening again here are my settings does nut have a conf file that I can backup if this happens again or should the autodetect just work as from my log file I was getting this before it started Jan 19 08:01:49 Terok-Nor kernel: usb 2-1.2: USB disconnect, device number 19 Jan 19 08:01:51 Terok-Nor kernel: usb 2-1.2: new low-speed USB device number 20 using ehci-pci Jan 19 08:01:51 Terok-Nor kernel: hid-generic 0003:0665:5161.1753: hiddev96,hidraw1: USB HID v1.00 Device [INNO TECH USB to Serial] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-1.2/input0 Jan 19 08:01:59 Terok-Nor ool www[28682]: /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/nut/scripts/start Jan 19 08:02:01 Terok-Nor kernel: usb 2-1.2: USB disconnect, device number 20 Jan 19 08:02:02 Terok-Nor kernel: usb 2-1.2: new low-speed USB device number 21 using ehci-pci Jan 19 08:02:03 Terok-Nor kernel: hid-generic 0003:0665:5161.1754: hiddev96,hidraw1: USB HID v1.00 Device [INNO TECH USB to Serial] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-1.2/input0 Jan 19 08:02:12 Terok-Nor kernel: usb 2-1.2: USB disconnect, device number 21 Jan 19 08:02:14 Terok-Nor kernel: usb 2-1.2: new low-speed USB device number 22 using ehci-pci Jan 19 08:02:14 Terok-Nor kernel: hid-generic 0003:0665:5161.1755: hiddev96,hidraw1: USB HID v1.00 Device [INNO TECH USB to Serial] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-1.2/input0 Jan 19 08:02:23 Terok-Nor kernel: usb 2-1.2: USB disconnect, device number 22 Jan 19 08:02:25 Terok-Nor kernel: usb 2-1.2: new low-speed USB device number 23 using ehci-pci Jan 19 08:02:25 Terok-Nor kernel: hid-generic 0003:0665:5161.1756: hiddev96,hidraw1: USB HID v1.00 Device [INNO TECH USB to Serial] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-1.2/input0 thanks for any words of wisdom ....

sorry ... what i am meaning is that i have just manually moved stuff around to make space for a 3TB disk and now most of my disks are in the red and i know it's just a cosmetic thing... i would like unraid via a plugin to balance all the files over the various disks. thanks
-
Hi All I know that i am going to get flammed for this but is there a PLUGIN that does the exact opposite of unbalance. Thanks
-
Sorry for answering my own question But I saw I had the nerd tool plugin installed and iftop was in it so is that telling me ALL the traffic coming from my unraid box or only the top talkers? so using iftop i was able to see what ip's my box was talking to. am I right ? apologies for hijacking the thread, was not my intention thank you
-
Hey all No solution just another question to add to the OP. After I read this post I wondered the same thing, for those of us that do not have the vm's or any sort of containers running on my unriad box. Is there any way from the cli to see what traffic is leaving the unraid box with build a second machine or sniffing a hub from another pc. Thank You
