  1. Thanks for taking a look. I've concluded the NIC has been damaged somehow in the changeover. Rolled up a trial version of unraid on a fresh USB and had the same issue. Have switched over to the onboard NIC and all seems to be fine
  2. I have just swapped my motherboard, CPU and memory. I have kept the same Intel NIC Since swapping the hardware everytime i start my windows VM i lose network access to the unraid Host update: seems a bit random, sometimes doing it before starting the array etc I have verified this several times booting into GUI mode Any help would be greatly appreciated I have deleted both my network config file and the vfio-bind config file unraid-diagnostics-20220402-1400.zip
  3. I've been testing this out on a new series folders and wondering before i let it loose on my entire tv folder, is it possible to exclude folders ? there's a few tv series i'd prefer to leave as is for the time being Also for general tv stuff, how do people feel about H265/HEVC media, slow and lossless settings? Should also mention i'm viewing on a 120" screen
  4. I have a Veeam B & R Server running in a VM on my unraid machine, with the intention of consolidating some backups under the one umbrella. I am currently backing up several unraid shares using this method without a problem, \Picture \Music for example. The problem i have is with the \flash share. Veeam is able to see the files, but when it attempts to copy them it gives an 'access denied' error. I have confirmed i can access the flash and copy the files using windows explorer within the VM, i have also tried changing the SMB Security settings on the flash share to private and created a backup user with access to the share, this made no difference.
  5. As an IT professional, i love that Unraid is so easy to use, when i get home from work the last thing i need is anything complex at my home. I would love to see built in check summing and snapshotting for the file system as a standard feature (eventually)
  6. And fixed.. good old BIOS update to the rescue After trying a different graphics card with stock unraid and also unraid-nvidia it became obvious this wasn't a driver issue (thanks for listening)
  7. Just to follow up on the sleep issue i've been having. - Removed video card and confirmed sleep works correctly with 6.7.2 and 6.8 - Tested each build of Unraid Nvidia which contains a different Nvidia driver - issue is present in all drivers - Enabled and disabled anything and everything in the bios i thought might be relevant - Observed the system when it receives magic packet, video card fans spin up and then power off , system hangs and never wakes from sleep - All of the above was performed with the array stopped so never experienced an unclean shutdown
  8. Gotcha, no, definitely no flash up
  9. could you explain what you mean by this?
  10. I realise this is a bit of a stretch, but is anyone running unraid nvidia + the s3 sleep plugin successfully? My server crashes running the above combo when putting itself to sleep. Not really expect much support on this one though
  11. Now i realise this is probably outside the bounds of what is supportable, but i have noticed since moving to unraid nvidia that the sleep plugin causes an unclean shutdown when attempting to put the server to sleep. I have tested this with unraid nvidia 6.7.2 and 6.8, stock unraid the sleep plugin correctly puts the server into s3 sleep and i'm able to easily wake it. Is this worth investigating or do i just give up on s3_sleep?
  12. meant to post this log ffmpeg-transcode-f8c29a34-f835-456b-863a-0be833796c17_1.txt
  13. I've attempted to transcode several different files yes ffmpeg-transcode-76b50670-df09-4a11-9afc-87a88e8ef71b_1.txt
  14. What i mean is, the notes in the top of the template with instructions to add the extra parameter were missing

  16. I found it confusing, as i had it in their previously. Then i deleted the container and added it back and the info was missing from the template

  18. After recently discovering the work you guys have done, i've added a GTX 1050 to my unraid server. I have the LSIO Emby docker setup and in my transcoding settings can see the GPU detected as a hardware encoder/decoder but when i attempt to convert any files they still use the CPU. I have posted on the Emby forum but been told Docker support is still not officially supported so wondering if anyone else can shed some light on it ffmpeg-transcode-3f02cb60-8ceb-4c5b-a955-93ebea7194ed_1.txt
  19. I don't think you'll find anyway for Unraid to wake itself up. Some router's have the ability to wake devices up. Kodi has a WoL plugin which is a great way to wake your server up when your media players power on. Home Assistant running on a raspberry pi can do this as well
  20. Thank you for this, works perfectly
  21. Fair enough mate, Is there a http command that i could send the server to tell it to manually sleep? This way in the meantime i could have Home Assistant put it to sleep once my media players have been switched off for the night?
