  1. I determined my layout pretty much the same way as Johnm. Attached is a copy of MySlots, from unMenu, for the layout of my 4220. Also, a capture of the main web page. Good Luck
  2. I let all the pre-clears finish, rebooted the server, everything works as it should. Thanks again!
  3. Thanks for looking Joe, really appreciate it!! Thanks
  4. An updated syslog since the last... There is something wrong somewhere! syslog2.zip
  5. Good Morning... I seem to have a problem with my server I started pre-clear on (6) 2TB drives last night... Got up this morning & checked on the progress. All drives except 2 are proceeding as expected. The 2 drives that don't seem right are running at 2.6 MB/s... the other 4 are running a little over a hundred at the moment. If someone could take a look at my syslog, & maybe figure out what's going on... I can't make heads or tails of them I'm running -beta10 with 4 gig ram. Thanks syslog.zip
  6. I am using the Asus M4A785-M motherboard with built-in Realtek 8112 gigabit LAN and this is working fine. Not much difference in write speed though as compared to beta-9 I'm using a GIGABYTE GA-790XT-USB3 motherboard with an onboard 8111D that's working fine. As noted above... pretty much the same speed as 5.0 beta9.
  7. unRAID 5 is a moving target. Maybe unMenu changed, you may have to install unRAID manually. The two files are the install buttons I'm assuming. I've got to get a shipment out but I'll take a look later if I get a chance. I came to post that I'm having the same issue but I'm on 4.7. My unmenu didn't seem to be the newest version so I just now updated it and restarted it and I'm still seeing the same issue. I click the check for update button, the page refreshes, but nothing ever changes. There is nothing at the bottom of the page as expected. I have no problem installing it manually but I'm free for testing if you need. Nothing is output to the syslog when I click the check for update button but if you want one anyways then let me know. I too have the same issue with 4.7 Same problem here... running 5.0beta9
  8. Pick one of your drives hooked to the motherboard and note the device identifier, say it's (sdb). Please type this command, capture output and post: smartctl -A /dev/sdb <--- instead of 'sdb' use whatever one corresponds to drive on motherboard port Tower2 login: root Linux 2.6.37.6-unRAID. root@Tower2:~# smartctl -A /dev/sdb smartctl 5.40 2010-10-16 r3189 [i486-slackware-linux-gnu] (local build) Copyright © 2002-10 by Bruce Allen, http://smartmontools.sourceforge.net SMART Disabled. Use option -s with argument 'on' to enable it. root@Tower2:~# Done what it said.... showing fine now. Didn't hold through reboot Fixed this in -beta8c (not published yet). Thanks Tom!! -beta8c fixed the SMART issues I was having.

  12. I put it on beta8 a little while ago. I haven't done any real testing on it yet, but everything seems to be working as before.
  13. Just went from beta7 to beta8. Works fine except... now the temps don't show for the drives hooked to the motherboard. The temps show fine on the 2 BR10i cards with both betas. Motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-790XT-USB3. Syslogs from both versions attached. syslog_b7.zip syslog_b8.zip
  14. Was running preclear on a Hitachi 5K3000 drive, in a Rosewill external enclosure, via e-sata, under 5.0b6a when it quit with the following message: malloc: unwind_prot.c:249: assertion botched free: underflow detected; mh_nbytes out of range Aborting...Aborted Any ideas as to the problem?? Thanks syslog.txt
