  1. seems to have solved my problem as well
  2. thanks, don't know why I didn't start at page 1 🙂 Just to confirm before I start playing, anything achieved with autotune is lost after boot. To maintain anything we either need to run autotune every boot or add specific lines to teh boot file. so if autotune borks anything a simple reboot should fix in the first instance?
  3. can anyone advise how to install powertop on unraid 7? Now that nerdpack is no longer available what's the preferred method?
  4. I have just upgraded my old board to the same as you. I'm looking doe decent SATA expansion that is low power and doesn't hobble the c states. Can you share what models you've used? thanks
  5. currently I have a cache pool made up of 2 identical 1TB SSD configured as RAID 1 These are BTRFS since ZFS is now available on UNRaid7 and my upgrade seems to have succeeded without error. I'm wondering f there is any benefit to leaving the cache pool as BTRFS or moving to ZFS? I'm aware that a ZFS pool only uses the max space of the smallest disk, but in my scenario I'm always planning on having matching disk sizes. so short q, are there any benefits one way or the other in my use case between BTRFS/ZFS or is there nothing in it? thanks in advance
  6. successfully upgraded from 6.11.5 to 7 with no issues. Liking the UI improvements chaps
  7. thanks Chaps rebooted and now rebuilding both drives
  8. thats kind of the conclusion I cam to however not sure what effect that will have on the rebuild, will it remember it was x way through? fail or assume its finished?
  9. here you go deepspace9-diagnostics-20240402-1236.zip
  10. thanks, can I restart it from cmd line to allow it to finish?
  11. Well heres a dilemma. Running 6.11.5 With hindsight maybe I was asking the box to do too many things at once, but hey Heres a snapshot of my drive assignments. I was rebuilding Disk 6 due to replacing and old 8TB with a new 14TB. n(rebuild was paused due to moving some files see below) I had 2 other drives doing a preclear I had an SSH session open with Midnight Commander doing a file move during which Disk 2 went AWOL at this point I cancelled the 2 preclears and ejected the disks to reduce server load whilst I figured out what to do next. So far so good at this point I noticed the web interface was not updating disk activity I refreshed the web interface and it did so but still no change. I can get into other pages on the web interface and I managed to download the logs (see attached) Dockers seem to still be running So taking aside why disk 1 failed I figured no problem let disk 6 finish rebuilding and there will be no issue if I have to then rebuild disk 1 alas I can't tell if the parity rebuild on disk 6 is running or not nor when it finishes as the Main webinterface page whilst refreshable doesn't allow any interaction I've been looking for a way to restart the web interface but doesn't look like its possible on 6.11.5? My SSH session is still functioning Ay suggestions appreciated syslog.txt
  12. got a link to the support page? damned if I can find it
  13. windows 10 on the other end no issues pre upgrade
  14. no hard evidence to support it but updated from 6.11.2 to 6.11.3 yesterday and all went well. Doing some large file transfers today and the SMB transfer speed seems to be on a go slow, anyone else noticed anything?
  15. having read the wrong csrf token errors above in the log, i decided to remove my plugins and see if that helped. all disks then rebuilt as per normal operation. Everything's now back up. I've updated to 6.9.2 and reinstalled my plugins. so far all seems good. thanks for the help chaps
  16. thanks for the help so far chaps. I've rigged up a second PSU to power 6 of the disks. However its not made any difference. rebuild still fails at the high 40gigs of progress.
  17. i guess its possible, they wouldn't usually be all up and hammered as hard as when doing a rebuild i could reduce the disks as the new one is a larger capacity anyway, the issue is I'd need to fix the rebuild issue beforehand hmm
  18. version of unraid is simply i haven't got around to upgrading for a while you are right i have a lot of rather full disks, is that likely to be a contributing issue? what makes you ask ref power? the number of disks?
  19. syslog server enabled
  20. here you go deepspace9-diagnostics-20220108-1827.zip
  21. One of my drives started having the odd read error last week. As its one of my older 4tb drives I shrugged and ordered a replacement drive. Shortly after Unraid disabled the drive. No problem, iIhave dual parity and a replacement is on its way. before the arrival of my new drive another drive became disabled. My replacement drive is now here and I'm trying to rebuild the first of the disabled drive onto this new 8tb disk. However the rebuild gets to somewhere in the high 40gigs of rebuild and consistently hangs. Plex and LMS non responsive, Unraid web interface unresponsive and neither will the server respond to a simple ping. A hard power off and restart brings the box back into the same state, array comes up and the rebuild begins again. hits 40 something gig into the rebuild and repeat. Unraid Version is 6.8.2 , i was planning to upgrade this week but issues got in the way Not sure if related but the week previously I had an issue with the logs hitting 100% utilisation and the CPU display on the summary page not working. Since the server hadn't been rebooted in over a year, I rebooted and both issues disappeared. thoughts appreciated as I'm running on borrowed time with no protection at the moment
  22. bad terminology on my part, by webui I was talking about the docker setup. I have this issue with most things I'm trying to grab at the moment, pretty much only stuff like Eastenders gets found by name So take Hidden as an example. Typing Hidden into the Show box, gains no results according to the log. Trying this by name in the windows get-iplayer works fine Picking an episode pid such as b0b6tgcv for Episode 3 also works fine in the windows version but I can;t see how to specify by PID on the unraid docker
  23. most of the shows I search for show as not found in the logs, despite existing in Iplayer and working via the windows version. PID is supported by get-iplayer so I thought Id try that. Is it not supported in teh Webui?
