  1. This is a highly popular fork nowadays https://github.com/echel0n/SickRage Mr orange has stopped developing so now this guy has taken over development of his awesome fork. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk Would not call it awesome yet been running it in a vm for a few days and there are still a lot of issues with it lot of database errors like editing the whole database for a new path doesn't work and it is slow to not responding sometimes when searching for new shows already on the hdd ...
  2. i seem to have a problem with the plex plugin due to the storage size thing if this page is going to do a DU everytime we enter that page then it takes like 15 minutes for me to load i have like 45000 tv episodes / 5000 movies / 80000 songs of metadata in there ...... guess i can put it off but is there no other way of doing this?
  3. no issues with the once i made running on python 2.7 running couchpotato for months on 2.7 can you have look at the mysql and crashplan plugin for unraid 6 beta 5? they are broken because of the php upgrade and that is above my paygrade (not a programmer .. just a good googler ) please feel free to adapt my influencer converted plugins but be aware that the mysql plugin still needs to be updated for the plg update function (maybe should rename to mariadb plugin too ? ) never got that far and too busy with work these last weeks https://github.com/sacretagent/Unplugged_64Bit_Unraid.6
  4. yeah you will need to give bonienl the time to add those pages i just fear we going to get a hard time when Tom adds more to that plugin page .... hopefully these changes can somehow made easier with these sessions Tom talked about to upgrade plugins .... time will tell... did anybody on the new OFFICIAL gui see if there is already a choice to add the monthly / weekly sheduled parity check ? didn't have a look at the official gui for months so not sure if there is a lot changed or not ?
  5. you running crashplan and/or dropbox ? if you are while the gui is hanging try following in the terminal this will stop both programs and most of the time their excessive memory usage and in my case bring back the gui I have seen that dropbox when updating large files seems to download first in nv ram and then writes to disk which in my case exhausts my memory and then writes stuff like the gui to the swap file i presume which make it take forever to load if you don't have any plugins installed other then the gui... then somebody else will need to help ya
  6. What would the permissions need to be? Mahdi-Rom Make sure to restart Plex too otherwise it will never show
  7. Badgers are time travelers ? seems ours is in April already
  8. Thanks for the update on the Temps Bonienl changed mine to 45 for hot and 50 for cooking
  9. so just add a sleep line would suffice? i also tried without the -v (as the v would be verbose) but same issue
  10. Hi trying to upgrade the Hamachi plugin for unraid6 and basically i don't need to insert the old tun.ko any more just a basic modprobe -v tun does the trick in unraid 6 so i changed the doinst.sh script from this (unraid 5 version) #!/bin/sh if [[ -z `modprobe -l tun` ]]; then if [[ `uname -r` == *2.6.32.9* ]]; then insmod /tmp/2.6.32.9-tun.ko else echo -e "\nWrong kernel version. Aborting...\n" exit fi else resp=`modprobe -v tun 2>&1` if [[ $? == 0 ]]; then echo -e "\nModule inserted sucessfully.\n" else echo -e "\nModule insertion failed. Aborting...\n" exit fi fi ln -sf /usr/local/logmein-hamachi/hamachid /usr/bin/hamachi ln -sf /etc/rc.d/rc.hamachi /usr/bin/h2control h2control start echo -e "\nHamachi initiated." to #!/bin/sh modprobe -v tun ln -sf /usr/local/logmein-hamachi/hamachid /usr/bin/hamachi ln -sf /etc/rc.d/rc.hamachi /usr/bin/h2control h2control start echo -e "\nHamachi initiated." now when the modprobe -v tun is executed i get this error so it barfs because somehow it has no way to output the outcome from the modprobe line it installs the tun though because when i manually input the 2 ln lines then he starts SO what am doing wrong here ? can somebody provide the solution?
  11. Nope still running 5.05 waiting for beta 4 release to start on the 6 series yeah there is a lazylibrarian rc.d file so that should be ok then ... thought there was still a ile with a list of all plugins but if it compiles this list himself then i am not worried
  12. dlandon 2 questions if you please :0 1. since i am using this new powerdown script i see some of my applications not auto run after a reboot... no clue why so far i noticed vfs_recycle and crashplan having the issue please note they are both installed but for some reason they are not running just clicking start makes them run 2. on one time my array didn't want to shut down and i figured it out it was my lazylibrarian plugin checking for new books did you add these rc.d start and stop lines to your script? there is a very old plugin from this app in this subforum which i adapted many times to work with the current git maintainer but the start and stop lines remained the same rc.lazylibrarian start rc.lazylibrarian stop
  13. check cables if you have spare cables replace them if WD test program says all disks are good then it is probably a cable
  14. Hi Bonienl can we have the option to choose our Heat alarm indicator go off on a temp we choose ? I live in Thailand ... warm country my disks are always running between 40 and 48 degrees celcius i would like to set that alarm at 50 degrees celcius as now all the indicators are on will get better when i put the airco on this afternoon and for the haters of high temps .... i have disks running more then 5 years ... and i am not going to run airco 24/24 just to cool my disks
  15. In my experience slow read/writes are most of the time cable issues last week i added some ram to one of my servers for the upcomming 6 beta 4 and by accident i probably touched a few of my sata cables i rebooted the server and all disks came up no issues but the day after my auto parity check kicked in and it did parity checks at the speed you are seeing 20-40 mb as were a few weeks ago i did around 80 mb so i stopped the check... pushed all cable connecters well on the disks and the mobo and saw one of the cables was a bit in a weird angle so i replaced that cable for any case after that the parity check went again full speed at 80 + mb i would check all your sata cables to see if that doesn't make a difference
  16. the parity chek thing is not in the standard webgui it is in the dynamix webgui though not sure if that script is still valid as i am using dynamix gui
  17. hi, you would need another controller for getting it to work with unraid as the SA controllers are not supported also i think this server is running Small form factor SAS drives so normal sata drives (large form factor) will not fit in those i could be wrong if this one has a LFF back plane then it would work but you would still need another controller ...
  18. unraid doesn't support SCSI and even with the newer SAS/SATA controller from HP it won't work .... they are all smart array contollers Hp has a few LSI based controllers though but again you would need to replace your drive bays for it to be compatible with SATA / SAS
  19. Ok i removed the powerdown plugin from unmenu and installed the PLG you made and already 2 days he shuts down cleanly
  20. My key is 3 years old ============================================================= Lime Technology, LLC - Online Order ============================================================= Invoice No.: 3215 Order No.: 130051485 Date: 12/18/2010 filecheck didn't find any problem so far the key is only used at boot and shutdown cause i chose to save the logs all the rest is done in ram and on the cache drive and like my colleagues above said so far Tom has replaced all licenses where a key died on the owner so we can't complain.... Also for the future Tom has expressed the wish to move off the USb boots... nobody knows when but lets say it is on the road map somewhere
  21. i installed it from unmenu and yep that is not in the logs... logs rotated at 18.00 but i never realised there was one in dynamix too .... i haven't installed the s3 sleep plugin from dynamix ... so basically i have 2 installed?? anyway to disable the dynamix one without removing completely having to remove everything?
  22. Guess i am again the only one where it doesn't work it is weird as it takes the array down unmounts all disks but then for some stupid reason i see my plugins all running again without disks mounted on the gui i see all disks unmounted but in top i see plex couchand others running... and of course the computer doesn't shut down if i do a /sbin/poweroff then he shuts down.... attached syslog sums it up started /sbin/powerdown at syslog.zip
  23. Ironicbadger a few questions 1. does arch have native packages for sab/couch/plex ? 2. as i see it now we depend on you to provide these packages in the unraid6 repo 3. so basically we depend on you all the time to upgrade them? which doesn't make it much different from the system we have now that a few developers create plugins till they burn out.... as the packages you make in the repo need to be compiled? plex does need to be compiled i guess? sab and couch maybe not a biggie as they run on python but that's why question 1 comes in play if there is no native arch package then we are again depending on somebody that's why i think Ubuntu is easier for the masses as they have almost all packages natively with init scripts and all .... Please note this is meant as concern ... i admire the time and energy you put in all this but i am concerned about the long run I understand the concern about small footprint but most of us use a 250gb to 1tb hdd for cache drive from which wee use currently like 5 % ... on a crazy download day maybe 20% so i wouldn't mind my vm image being 50 gb or more ....
  24. Guess it will all come down to are you able to install an OS on a computer ? if you can do that then you can install a vm like a pro but don't even fret there are images out there where you just need to import the image all depends what we will settle for as gui ... I for one will be happy to not have to depend on unraid 's slackware packages as to what app we can install and which not the new v6 is easy as it uses the last slack edition but v5 was not always that evident to get an app running especially if you want the latest version of an app ask the transmission plugin developers how funny it was For the end user it was easy... install plg and complain if it doesn't work.... even if it didn't work because of problem between chair and computer...
  25. Lol what about : If you have a machine that supports x64 then you can run vm's if you have 4gb or more ram then you can run a vm (guess 3 would even do ) you can run windows as vm and install all programs the way you are used too, just don't expect anything fast or a good screen resolution without special hardware preferably you setup a vm with a liux OS where you need to remember 2 commands depending what flavor ubuntu/debian you remember apt-get install and apt-get upgrade red hat/centos/fedora you remember yum install and yum upgrade all dependencies of whatever program you want to install are included with those and upgrading an application will also upgrade the dependencies you can run a desktop version of the linux OS if you want to point and click you can upgrade most of the time the complete OS with all programs with one command
