  1. Hi guys, Sorry for the noob question, but rather than running VMware in Unraid has anybody had success running Unraid as a VM in something like a VMware ESXi Server? Thanks.
  2. Out of curiosity, are you using the ls-R trick? I have the same problem as you with regards to stopping the array and not being able to unmount all the drives because of read activity. However this only occurs if I want to stop the array within five minutes from booting it. I found that by not running ls-R I don't get the problem any more so I reckon it is just the ls-R process caching the drive. Santan
  3. As requested I switched from AHCI mode to IDE mode and my Parity-check speeds are now identical at about 95Mb/s weather "Force NCQ Disabled" is set to On or Off. I am running the latest BIOS (1803) on the motherboard. I hope this helps, if you want me to check anything else just let me know. Santan.
  4. No problem, I'm not near the machine at the moment but I'll give it a go tomorrow and report back.
  5. Just for info, my motherboard is the Asus P5B-E, I upgraded to beta 4 without a problem but with "Force NCQ Disabled" set to ON my Parity sync speeds dropped from about 96Mb/s to about 29Mb/s and my transfer rates from about 25Mb/s to under 1Mb/s. It's not a problem as I just set it to OFF but I thought somebody might be interested. Santan.
