  1. I downloaded on three computers and it still results the same. Bought to try at work.
  2. I downloaded the recent version of unRAID and every time I try to unzip or open the files, unRAIDServer-5.0.3-i386, I keep getting this error message and I also dont see "For Windows Vista or Windows 7, right-click the file make_bootable and select Run as administrator".
  3. Just clarify before I attempt my first unRAID build this weekend I wanted to know if I could include documents, design files, and code files on my unRAID? Are there any good tutorials on the site and any suggested plugins avaiable? Can you configure Filezilla client to send to unRAID?
  4. Not a fan of mail in rebates but these would reduce the price to 39.99 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3303660&sku=T24-9901
  5. I remember one year, my first best buy year, I waited in line all night because WD 1TB Black drives went on sale for 39.99 and I bought 6. All 6 to this day are still running strong. Sadly, that next year they had the flood and all drives went sky high.
  6. Sadly I cant buy from Newegg because I have to pay taxes on the drives since a local hub is not far from me. These same drives are on sale for 7 bucks more on Amazon and if you have the prime shipping that would make shipping free and no taxes resulting in a better deal, for those that may want to know. http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Barracuda-3-5-Inch-Internal-ST2000DM001/dp/B005T3GRN2/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1384031987&sr=1-5
  7. Got wind that Radio Shack is selling 32gb Flash drives for $7.99 on Black Friday.
  8. If you are going to be a fool like me on Black Friday waiting in line to buy your kids toys then checkout Toy's R US Black Friday ad that just released. Last year I bought 5 so I know there isn't a cap at the local store.
  9. Thank you for the inputs. I am currently using Ubuntu with Samba but I was interested in learning unRAID as a NAS solution for my setup but I want to make sure I will not loose any information because these are work files. The only alternative I can see is have two servers with mirrored data. I do use my Ubuntu for cron jobs and scripting files for print. So I may look into building a 1U with a spare 64gb SSD I have and move the files from the unRAID to the rip station.
  10. Never used unRAID but I was wondering if unRAID would work on an existing setup that is running 8 1TB Black WD drives in RAID 1 resulting in 4 1TB drives visible I am debating a dual boot setup to go with my Ubuntu 12.04. I was hoping to purchase something like this adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815201028apter[/url] and run unRAID on a Scandisk 16gb flash drive. Can I run Plus on this setup?
