  1. Removing a Windows 8.1 Explorer update and installing it again did the trick. Thanx! Problem solved!
  2. OMG Very glad with your tip trutl! I tried accessing thrue another pc and everythings seems normal! Clearing the cache on the PC wasn't the solution. Reinstalling all explorer settings also didn't work. Thank you very much anyway!! Writing zero's to another new disk now.. When I find out how to solve my Explorer problem on my PC, I will mark the post solved.
  3. Hey Guys, I've been using unRaid for years. Because it worked fine I've been using 5.0 beta 12. I replaced a red balled drive with a bigger one. After rebuilding everything I ran a parity check. Everything seems fine: Paritycheck ok! Except I can't use the user interface anymore, because it seems unRaid is busy with something. In my (Windows 8 PC) browser the "loading page circle" keeps spinning very fast and the page seems to be refreshing (because it blinks very fast) all the time. I can't click on anything, except on the "log" button. After clicking the log button, a large neverending list runs by.. So I thought maybe my files on my flashdrive are somehow corrupted. I took my flashdrive and put 5.0.6 on it, since that is the latest stable version. unRaid starts up, I can access the user interface, but it still keeps refreshing / blinking all the time. You can see the blinkingbehaviour here: Maybe its a hardware issue? I checked all connections on the motherboard, pulled all cables an reinstalled the PCI card and memory and put the flasdrive in another USB slot. No result. Any ideas anyone?? Thanx!
  4. Ok thanx BobPhoenix, I will search for how to use putty and report back.
  5. @dgaschk: Thank you very much for your tip. I feel really stupid, but I haven't got a clue how to "Show the output of "ls -la" on the share directory". I'm not familiar with Linux..
  6. Ok guys, After a few weeks of vacation I continued my work on my server. Before I went away on holiday I ran Reiserfsck again. Everything fine now. The server made a lost+found share, everything good so far, I thought. I can copy data to my share "Media" (in a folder "Movies'', or ''TVseries"). With my PC I can even copy it back to any location, so it seems to work, EXCEPT for my Dune media player : When I go to a folder in the share "Media" (on my Dune media player), and then to ''Movies" and then (for example)''Dallas Buyer Club", there is nothing in the folder. When I go to the same folder with my PC, I can see the files in there. I already ran the "New Permissions" utility.. Any ideas?
  7. The process finished this morning after 33 hours. You can see the result in the picture. Does it look good? I rebooted my server and started the array, after which parity build started by itself. After this, I will start a parity check and see what happens..
  8. Thanx DaleWilliams & dgaschk. When starting the process again I noticed something I forgot the last time I started it: I ran the process when the array was started, and was not in maintenance mode. Maybe that's why it wasn't successful? Now the process is running again on the console, and will be running the rest of the day. (I have never telnetted into the server, I have to try that sometime since that is new for me.)
  9. Ok dgaschk, just to be clear: I did that already, the server was busy with it for more than 12 hours. Do you mean I should do it again?
  10. Now its finished. I rebooted the server. When starting the array, disk8 shows up as unformatted. On the console I see "REISERFS error (device md8)" and a lot of other things, see picture. What should I do next? Replace the disk?
  11. The server is still busy. What do I do with Parity after its finished? I guess it has to be build with the new, correct data on my disk 8? Run Parity check and correct the errors?
  12. Hey Guys, I did a parity check which stopped by itself, after which the server wasn't reachable anymore. At the console I saw some errors on md8. I ran reiserfsck --check /dev/md8 . You can see the result on the picture. I wonder where I can find the log info (which is supposed to be put out to 'stdout' somewhere?). What should I do or type next to fix the problem? Just type --rebuild-tree ??
  13. Ok, Since there was no data on disk 10 thru 12, I decided to remove them from the array using the New Config Utility. I did this so I could let it Sync Parity with my old disks 1 thru 9, and then later add one disk at a time. Parity-Sync is so much faster now with the MV8! Because my initial question was: Is my power supply to weak?, I now know the answer to that, AND I can see all my other disks in the GUI, (almost) all my questions about that subject are answered. So I guess I can call the subject [sOLVED]. If there are any questions later about adding the extra disks (and the faults on my old md11), I will make a new subject. Thanx everyone for helping me!!
