  1. My home temp is 83F and the supermicro server health says system temp 50C.
  2. Hello I currently upgraded my unraid and I had to run a parity check and a few of my drives where on the 45-48 C temp. I have WD green and reds is this normal? I have a norco 4224 and have 12 drives total including cache and parity. I replaced stock fans with noctua fans and although they're real quiet in afraid that they're not good for cooling. Anyone know if these temps are normal during parity checks and if my selection of fans was a good idea or should I have gone with different ones. Normally they're at 28-34 C but 3 out of those drives always seem to be on the higher temps.
  3. On the docker settings they're /mnt/user0/Music same on the actual subsonic page for where it looks for the music. I have tried both user and user0, I got it working the first time I installed it but that's when my music went away and after I fixed I haven't been able to get it running again.
  4. It was weird I accessed the shares folder and hit reset and all my stuff is back. Now the issue I'm having is when I choose the folder on subsonic with my music it says folder not found. My share with all my music is Music so I point subsonic to mnt/user/Music I believe. When I choose that on the sicker settings it shows all my music but on the actual subsonic webpage settings it shows as folder not found. And I have user and user0 both contain the same folders with same files. Is this normal? And I upgrade from 5.0.6 do I have to run permission file?
  5. Hello i just recently updated to unraid 6.0.1 and everything was working fine i added the subsonic docker and it worked. Today when i looked at my mapped drives i noticed my music folder was empty i panicked and i checked under \\tower and it shows all my music on the different drives. I also checked shares under Unraid main shares and it's all there under Music/mp3 i see all my files and music i just cant map it. And now my subsonic info all got reset not sure why. And not sure why i can see all my files on the unraid main but when i map it and i check it under explorer as \\tower it shows the music folder as being empty. Only when i check every single drive i see my music.
  6. Is the ram good or should i go for 32GB and what would be recommended in this current build being the Supermicro X10SL7-F, Intel E3 1241V3, SeaSonic X-1050. Oh by the way does anyone know of any newegg coupons?
  7. Is there any advantages of using the X10SL7-F over the ASRock E3C224 ATX or should i just stick with the supermicro one?
  8. So far what i have on my newegg cart is a Intel E3-1276V3, Supermicro X10SL7-F , and Crucial 16GB CT2KIT102472BD160B not sure if its overkill. Pretty much similar components to the link you sent me the 1276 is not set in stone since the 1241 and a few other seems pretty evenly matched only difference would be the built in gpu on the Cpu's. With this being said do you think my Corsair HX650W would be good with this setup or similar one? Or should i go ahead and upgrade that too? Thanks for the input.
  9. Hey man thanks that thread just reassured me of what i was leaning to which was a supermicro or asrock mobo with a xeon e3 1231v3 to up to say a e3 1271 v3 or higher. What would be a good set of ram to go with this? Also i see that it only has 2 ports for pci express which if i got a graphic card and my current 8 port supermicro card that would put me at 22 Drives but i want to take advantage of using the 24 drive case but be able to add a gpu if i wanted to how would i go about this with this motherboard?
  10. Hello i currently have the latest version of unraid 5 pro. My current set up is a AMD sempron 140 with motherboard M4785-M a Supermicro sas card and a 2 port sas card and a Corsair HX650W power supply and 4 gigs of ddr2 ram. When i built this i was thinking of low power consumption and energy efficient. But with Unraid 6.0 i want to run some virtual machines such as windows 8 and possibly a mac osx and maybe a little bit of gaming. The main use i get out of this machine is for Plex, Sabnzbd, Headphones, Subsonic, Couchpotato, Sickbeard. I know from my hardware maybe the only thing still worth keeping is my psu i have also bought a norco 4224 for my new set up with all noctua fans. I would like some guidance on which route to go as far as ram, cpu, and mobo, and gpu if needed. My budget is up to say 1200 but rather keep it under 1k. I have 13 HDD's counting my parity and cache drive. I'm not sure if i should go with intel or amd and if to go with a i7 or xeon e3 and as far as amd i dont know what would work thanks in advance and i would be buying a new supermicro card since my current motherboard is maxed out.
  11. Hello i just bought a WDRED 4TB and pre cleared it and now i want to replace it with my old parity drive which is a wdgreen 2tb. I haven't done this before so how would i go about doing this? Do i need to physically remove the old parity drive and plug it in to another slot and put the new 4tb into the old parity drive? And will i need to preclear the old parity drive again to use it as a data drive? I would really appreciate some help thank you. Or if there is a guide or tutorial about this that you can link me to i would appreciate it thank you.
  12. Which one's would you recommend? And what would be the most Hdd i could get off this mobo?
  13. I need some help choosing a motherboard since i want to salvage as much as i can i am currently using a AMD Sempron 140 Sargas 2.7GHz with a ASUS M4A785-M for low power consumption. I just recently read that the ASUS M4A785-M has some issues with the supermicro MV8 SAS cards and i only have 2 more sata connections available and one hard drive and new case are on its way i have a licensed unraid pro key. My new case should be able to support the max amount of hard drives but my motherboard wont. So to wrap it up can anyone suggest any motherboard or mobo+cpu combo to be able to have the max amount of drives and if i can keep my ram or cpu that would be awesome. My psu is a CORSAIR Professional Series HX650 i hope this one can run the max amount of hard drives as well any input would be appreciated thanks.

  17. My store had a shelf full of them i read real bad reviews on them though was wondering if they would work fine on my unraid? im currently running all wdears 2tb unraidpro
  18. Hello posting a preclear result for a friend if you guys can help out determining if its good or bad thank you.
  19. Been reading ablut cache drive but.i.have not yet read if they have to be.precleared or not. Can someone clear this concern of mine?
  20. Yes it has a jumper im using the newest full realese of unraid not beta reason for old preclear is i had no idea it updates that often thanks.
  21. I'm pretty stupid and don't know how to make heads or tails of the readings from my preclear results. Additionally, I used an older version of preclear so I hope that's not a problem. 22. I just received my 5th WD20EARS and when i hooked it up it wasn't detecting it. It reads 1-4 but not 5 and 6 i have MOBO ASUS M4A785-M under the bios it shows port 1-4 AHCI and 5-6 AHCI i tested different cables and nothing seemed to work until i changed the 5-6 port to IDE and now it detects them. I loggd onto //tower:8080 to verify everything was detected and it does but now the 5th WD20EARS is shown as a IDE /dev/hdc should i go ahead and preclear it like this or would that affect the drives speed or functions? I a lso i installed a jumper on the HDD i really don't know what else to change to make it detect under AHCI any suggestions or help would be appreciated, or should i just let it read it as a IDE.
