  1. Dev/sda1 is still wanting fsck... Without the cache drive things from that share are moving to the array. I used mover on another share with cache drive enabled and didn't have a problem.
  2. That looks like where I was trying to move files from a Windows machine to the array. I'm chasing several problems now. I might have a corrupted disk on my Windows machine, all of the directories that I move files from are now showing as corrupt/unreadable, running chkdsk on them HDDs. I've disabled the cache drive for the affected share and files are going on to the array, or appear to be. (Moving from an alternate location to the array). Once chkdsk finishes, I'll re-enable the cache and see what happens.
  3. I'll check for the line concerning the flash drive this evening. I ran reiserfsck against the cache and all hard drives with no corrective action required. It wouldn't be impossible that the cache drive is failing, I've had that problem before.
  4. That didn't work either. I can manually move files in MC but automatic mover still isn't working from cache to the array. After emptying the cache, I can move files from my Windows machine to the cache drive. I think the next step will be to disable the cache on that share.
  5. I will give that a try. The error has been occurring for a while, I just hadn't noticed because files were building up on the cache drive.
  6. I'm on 5.0.5 Pro with 20TB total space, 11ish TB free. When I try to move files to my array from the cache drive using mover, I'm getting the No Space Left on Device error. When I move them from my Windows machine to the array the move just errors out. I adjusted the split level on the share (Movies) that I know it isn't working on, made the split level 25, disk to most-free, etc and I'm still getting the error. The GUI says I have 300GB free of 500GB on my cache drive and I do have one disk that is 100% full in my array, I've excluded that disk from my Movie share. I've run the new permissions script (though I've been on version 5 since 3TB drives became reasonably priced). The only addon I had running besides the stock WebGUI was CrashPlan, I can't seem to disable the WebGUI but the syslog should be without CrashPlan installed. Any ideas on what to try? syslog.txt
  7. HP PROLIANT DL180 G6 STORAGE SERVER 2 x SIX CORE L5639 8GB RAM $399, sure it isn't 24 bays but if you don't need that much room (this is 14 bay) this might be just what the doctor ordered. It is a server so it might be louder than you want in a frequently used space, reports are that the noise level is only obscene on start up and then it idles back down to desktop noise levels. This would also be a great virtualization platform though I'm not 100% sure on the ability to passthrough the HBA to unRAID.
  8. Thanks, worked like a champ. I have about half locking and half non-locking, he hit 8 of the 10 non-locking, now the home office is locking... Thanks for the replies!
  9. Apparently, my toddler pulled 8 disk out of my unRAID server at some point in the last six days. When I noticed the removable trays askew I logged into the the GUI and all drives showed green and spun down. I think that means there has been no activity on the drives since they got pulled out. What should be my next step, last parity check was six days ago. Reseat drives, start it up and... ? version 5 rc 11 Thanks in advance.
  10. Thanks for the replies. The G2 is about twice the price of the G3 and harder to find I just wanted to confirm that it would work and reading through some of the replies it became quite confusing... Thanks again.
  11. My flash drive has apparently died I'm looking to replace it with an SD card reader and everyone says the MobileLite G2 has its own unique GUID. Does anyone know if the G3 does as well? I would assume it does but was looking for anyone with experience with the reader.
  12. SeaSonic X Series X-850 (SS-850KM Active PFC F3) 850W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS 12V v2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply] $109.99 after $20 rebate and code and code EMCXTXM25, ends 10 March 2013.

  14. Really haven't had much luck with this one. I've reinstalled Crashplan, redone permissions, etc, etc... When I watch the boot process it tells me Crashplan is started. This is an improvement, before changing perms it would fail to start. When trying to connect using the GUI from my desktop, it fails to find Crashplan. When I go to the Crashplan directory and request the status of Crashplan (via Putty) it says that Crashplan is stopped. Back to it next weekend I guess. Luckily, Crashplan is the alternate backup plan.
  15. I'll give that a shot. That sounds like what happened since it isn't finding Crashplan.
  16. After I upgraded to RC10 and re-installed my plugins, Crashplan doesn't work anymore. I upgraded from RC8. At the same time, the email notifications plg started sending hourly status updates on the server, I had set that to daily and according to the settings, that is still what it should be doing. This isn't so much a call for help (yet), just trying to see if anyone else has had this issue with Crashplan. Full scale troubleshooting will begin this weekend.
  17. I've got mine up and running. New releases haven't been a problem and I'm just letting the software backfill some of my groups. I have this running on an Ubuntu 12.04 Server VM with 2 processors, 2GB RAM and a 32 GB data drive. I have peaked at 50% full on the drive, when I ran the optimise_db script it came back down to 19% full. I've got three groups gradually backfilling to 1100 days and the rest of the groups are on 10 days. I'm using the default Newznab screen script with no issues. I have been getting utilization above 2.0 occassionally but that's probably due to the processing power needed to run the threaded update_binaries script. So far, rock solid!
  18. Thanks, I'll give that a shot. I also need to look at how to backfill without bloat. Wanted to get it working first, then got so excited it was working that I forgot to go back and read the rest of the instructions on backfill!
  19. Does anyone know where the database resides? Running it on Ubuntu 12.04 in a VM with a 32 GB drive, currently at 50% full. I want to move the whole install to an RDM and give it it's own 500GB HDD. (Noob instructions for moving the install on ESXI 5.1 would be much appreciated) So far, works swimmingly, full integration into SB, SAB. Haven't tried CP, populating tv groups first.
  20. For those that have paid, does it actually work pretty well once you get the regex's from them? I got it to pull 1100 days of backfill overnight on one group but even the two default regex's found nothing. I won't put it on my unRAID for simplicity. I'm running ESXI and I have a few options once I get the setup right. Currently I have it pulling headers on an Ubuntu VM on my Win 7 desktop. Other than the no releases/regex issue it seems to work pretty well. I noticed no performance impact on my computer, was able to stream HD content on my internal network using Plex and from Amazon without a hiccup.
  21. And if you have luck with that, please let us know! Actually, it's pretty straightforward, getting releases to populate seems to be the hurdle everyone is having, something about regex's.
  22. Before you buy it... Do you own any Seagate drives? The Seagate Discwizard is a basic version of TruImage. It requires that you have a Seagate drive somewhere in your system, I plug in my Seagate external and it lets me clone to anything else attached to my computer, just used it last week to de-RAID two OCZ SSDs I was using as a boot drive and clone my RAID 10 data drives to a WD 3 TB drive. ***EDIT: And it's free!
  23. Seagate Momentus XT ST95005620AS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s with NCQ Solid State Hybrid Drive -Bare Drive $50+FS. These make good cache drives, can mount them in the bottom of a case. Also make good datastore drives for people doing home virutalization. I have this as a cache drive and one of my three data stores, one other data store is the 750GB version of this and the 3rd is a new SSD. These things rock. You can also pop them in an old laptop and really increase performance. Code EMCJJJF84
