  1. Yes the extension "2FAS" was blocking the movie share.
  2. It appears to be a browser thing. I logged in the unraid through my Linux/mint streaming box with firefox and i'm able to browse the movies shares. So it appears to be a browser thing based problem.
  3. Do you want me to run that in command line within Unraid?
  4. Here's the latest one, see if you spot anything.. syslog-192.168.50.115.log
  5. I haven't tries my backup key yet. I did shutdown my docker and vm's and tried to browse again.. I can still browse all folders except the movies folder that totals 8000 movies in separate folders. I was able to get the syslog server to work I attached it below. I can't make any conclusions from it. syslog-192.168.50.115.txt
  6. I do have a second pro key as a backup, I’ll try that.
  7. I don’t now what to make of it. That’s why I think it might be a bug.
  8. Still no change, I have never been able to setup the syslog server the correct way ( I must be missing something). Here is the "syslog-previous" txt file. I also included a screen shot. I tried to see if it worked on my Linux mint streaming box but it locks-up also.. any help would be apricated.. unraid-stuck.docx syslog-previous.txt
  9. I'm trying to cleanup my "movie" folders on my share and when I browse into the share to look for more than one location per folder Unraid goes unresponsive. This has worked in the past. Any ideas? This could be a bug.
  10. I forgot to mention, my PSU is modular and all the 6 pin SATS power outputs are all taken. That's why I came across those 8 pin to 6 pin adapters. I do have open PCIe 8 pin outputs and wondered if that might be an option. I'm just concerned the pin assignment (on the PCIe) might not be what I need. I don't want to short anything out. the punch-down idea might be an option thanks Michael_P. I just don't want to put too many HDD on one line.
  11. I could use a suggestion/advice, I have two StartechUSA trayless 3X5 HDD modules, each 5 HDD unit is powered by 2 SATA inputs. I have a Seasonic Gold 850W single rail power supply. I also have 2 single StartechUSA units for each of my parity drives, along with 3 SSD's inside my Antec 1200 case. I would like to power the 3X5's modules with two separate cables from the PSU instead of using one line. The problem I'm seeing is I don't have enough SATA outputs on the PSU. I'm wondering about SATA splitters or using the PCIe 8 pin to 6 pin adapters I have listed below, and run SATA power from them to the module or to a single HDD as required. Any thoughts would be appreciated.. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DV1Z32Y?starsLeft=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_em_apin_dp_SK62JH351KREWD0Y9ZYA Amazon.com_ Cable Matters 2-Pack 6 Pin to 8 Pin PCIe Adapter Power Cable - 4 Inches _ Electronics.html
  12. Yes CRC errors are usually bad cabling if I remember correctly. I unchecked that error box. Notifications via email is a pain in the butt to setup I tried and I could't get to work so I have only browser alerts, which is fine cause I'm on the computer most of the day.
  13. interesting, no, all my disks show healthy. I'll keep a close eye on SMART reports. I have only got a unhealthy 👎 notice when a disks goes disabled, by than yeah, I know I have a problem. I never gave much thought otherwise to the SMART reports.
  14. I have 11 hard drives in my array with 2 parity drives and a cache pool with SSD's. I have a large video collection, Family pictures and so on. I was wondering, is there a "rule of thumb" on how long Unraid folks keep their HDD's in use. I have been using Unraid for roughly 10 years, and only replace a disk when they go disables more than once. This just happened the other day. I replaced the data disk and in the process one of the parity disks started acting stupid. Just wondering. do you pull it when the warranty runs out? which seems like a waste. or do you pull it like after five years or whatever.. Ever time I have to replace a disk (which isn't often) my Wife throws a fit. lol.
  15. Thank you Sir.. And tank's to all the Unraid staff..
  16. I have 1 data disk that went disabled ( I copied the contents), I'm now pre-clearing (at approx 20% done) a fresh disk to replace it. Not a problem, I've done this before. However, one of my 2 parity disks went disabled with read errors (?) I know the procedure to rebuild a disk onto itself, my question is whats the best and safest strategy here? Should I deal with rebuilding on to itself the disabled parity disk first? and than deal with the pre-cleared data disk? I'm thinking so, because 1. I have a copy of the contents from the data disk. and 2. if the other parity disk get stupid on me I may have a bigger problem to deal with. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.. server-diagnostics-20240221-2024.zip
  17. 6.12.5 to 6.12.6 completed without incident. Apricate the great work. Happy Holidays
  18. Nice plugin, I was wondering where are the snap shot stored? are they stored next to the files themself? Is there an option for saving them elsewhere?
  19. Mine seems to work as expected. Great job, Thanks.
  20. I've updated to UR 6.12.1 added back Disk location but it seems to crash the Dashboard unless all drives are spun-up, then it comes back. Same things happens after updating to 6.12.2. Only works when all drives are spun-up
  21. I'm running one unraid server, I have a second license key as a backup. My question is which files other than the Key file in the config folder do I need to backup? Or do I just need to copy everything (other than the Key file in the config folder) In case the usb fails.
  22. All seems fine now.. Good work
