LSI Controller FW updates IR/IT modes
So the error I am seeing at step 5.1 is that there are no LSI adapters, it is also saying it cannot create the command -1 . I presume the tool is complaining that there is no lsi adapter but I would also assume there is a way to have it skip that check and just go ahead and flash the card as we already wiped the card in the 3rd bat file.

LSI Controller FW updates IR/IT modes
Just a point on the adpaters.txt file, it is the file that is saved during the flash process. Where are you seeing that IT Mode is not flashed? I have the other text file from the adapter that "seems" to be working and I am not seeing a difference?

LSI Controller FW updates IR/IT modes
So should I just start at step 5 or start from scratch? I assume step 5?

LSI Controller FW updates IR/IT modes
So I have attached the Adapters.txt file for the adapter which is having issues, it looks like it is an older adapter than the one which is working. It does show a green flashing light the same as the working one when the machine boots, it is only when unRAID is booting that the light goes to a blinking orange and stays like that. One other point, when I was flashing the cards, I was not asked for the serial to input? Is that piece no longer part of the process? Also I had some difficulties with the flashing process which had me manually run the sas2flash.efi to manually update the cards as the nsh file for 5itp.nsh did not work correctly. LSI Controller FW updates IR/IT modes
So I got everything updated but one of the H310s now has a flashing orange light on it. Is this something failed on the card or is it indicating something else, being that it is flashed I am not sure if the Dell codes are the same. If the card is bad, can the H310 be mixed in with a Supermicro AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 OR should I just pull both Dell 310s and replace with the Supermicro AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 and order a replacement if there is an issue with the card? As an update, I swapped cables and the orange light is still on the same controller card

LSI Controller FW updates IR/IT modes
So once everything has run, is there a way to tell if everything has worked? i.e. is there a command that will list the current firmware for the card?

The Power Supply Thread
Just a comment on this thread. I had the antec 620w PSU listed in this thread and also the Corsair CM 650 PSU. Both were fine with 5 - 6 drives. Once both PSUs had extra drives added I started getting errors on my drives. I changed both PSUs for HX750 and a HX850 (both refurbished) , this resulted in stable systems. So even though the math would indicate that the original PSUs should easily handle 8 drives in either machine they obviously had issues. Both PSUs were less than a year old, the Antec was actually brand new. My rule of thumb is if I add an extra drive and I start to get errors following doing full pre-clears with no errors, I start to look at the cables and then the PSU.

The 5X3 Cage review - Norco, SuperMicro, iStarUSA and Icy Dock
Does anyone know on the Supermicro 5x3 cage, can the fan speed be changed OR is there a quieter fan that can be swapped on this drive cage? The fan on the one I just installed is far louder than the other fans in the server and I would love to be able to get the noise level down due to the server is located in a quiet office space.
