  1. I already run 2 post scripts with SAB, and I didn't wanna make it a 3rd. Also, sometimes I end up taking the original nfo file that came with the release. That was I have 3 days before everything gets deleted. I thought about going that route and decided against it.
  2. I have written a script to run in cron.daily that checks for older files and directories in SAB's download folders and deleted things older than 3 days. I find if this script doesn't run, I end up with all kinds of crap from my automation (Sonarr and Couchpotato) there after a week or two. In my unRAID 5, I would simply stop sab with "/etc/rc.d/rc.sabnzbd stop". Is this still the same? Or is there another way to start and stop SAB running within the docker?
  3. That should be more than sufficient for my media server NAS purposes. Thanks again so much! I'll be purchasing this Adaptec now, I think. Although to be honest, what I was really looking for was something PCI-E 2.0 x4, with 4 sata ports, that worked ootb with unRAID. Is that speed even necessary for 4 HDD's? Or am better off just sticking with the PCI-E x4 or PCI-E 2.0 x2 (I'm aware that's the same theoretical speed)
  4. Yes I see that the Startech is x2. Thanks though, I could see that saving someone from a bad purchase. Good looking out! I wouldn't think that with JBOD configuration for unRAID that the difference between x2 and x4 would make ALL that much difference. But seeing as I can use this Adapatec card, which is x4, and nice and cheap, that's the way I'm gonna go if I can get one around here.
  5. I've seen: Adaptec RAID 1430SA 2241000-R SATAII PCI Express x4 and Adaptec RAID 1430SA 2240900-R SATAII PCI Express x4. I was just wondering if there's any difference. I think this is the card I'll purchase, especially if it works ootb, with >3TB drives.
  6. I did see that about the drives, and it makes me nervous. TBH, I like the x4 adaptec card anyway. I see there are several different models of the Adaptec 1430SA. Is this the one that works ootb with unRAID? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Adaptec-1430SA-4-Port-SATA-PCI-E-x4-RAID-0-1-10-JBOD-Controller-Card/201266312872?_trksid=p2141725.c100338.m3726&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20141212152715%26meid%3D64bd517add824b4096ac0412026d896a%26pid%3D100338%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D28%26sd%3D361105187345
  7. There aren't really very many PCI SATA controller cards listed as working ootb, that are available. I was looking for a 4 port SATA controller, PCI 2.0 x4, and I cam across this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7840675&CatId=5507 It's not listed as accepted hardware, but it does have the same chipset (Marvell 88SE9230) as the Digitus DS-30104-1 listed as "working". Anyone have any ideas?
  8. Just to let everyone know who may read this, I figured out my buffering problem. It seemed that my cache HDD was dying, although the SMART reports didn't indicate much other than it having quite a few "on" hours above it's expected life, all other health stats passed. Every time it wrote to the cache drive, or at times even accessed it (Plex, Sickbeard, Couchpotato) I would experience buffered playback on a gigabit network. I have since upgraded to unRAID v6.0beta12 and removed the old cache drive and replaced it with an Intel Enterprise 240GB SSD. I also increased the RAM to 8GB from 4GB, and all of my buffering woes seem to have vanished. The new filesystem (btrfs) for the cache drive is FAR superior and seems exponentially faster and better at doing the job of a cache drive in general.
  9. That must be it. Although it's weird that it's guesses are so dramatically off, almost everything I have is in bluray, which is sees when I click on a show, but from the from the home page list, it lists everything as SD. Weird. So I assume you're using Sonarr now and not SB? I'll be trying to upgrade to unRAID6 very soon, and try things with docker.
  10. PhAzE, I now have SB, CP, and SAB all working great, thanks again! Why does this version of SB recognize everything as SD, when it's listed as HD when I click on a show?
  11. So I got this exact message from my server this morning. Any idea as to what it is or what I should do about it? WARNING: certificate /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt is about to expire in time equal to or less than 7 days from now on, or has already expired - it might be a good idea to obtain/create new one. NOTE: This message is being sent only once. A lock-file /var/run/certwatch-mailwarning-sent-ca-certificates.crt has been created, which will prevent this script from mailing you again upon its subsequent executions by crond. You dont need to care about it; the file will be auto-deleted as soon as you'll prolong your certificate.
  12. Thanks again for keeping up the awesome work with these plugins PhAzE! I was in the process of updating all of my plugins from Influencer's tp these, and I got almost through SAB, SB and CP, but when I try to add my existing shows in SB, and it asks me to point it at a directory, I don't see my cache drive. I go into /mnt and all of the other directories are there, but not the cache drive. Is it because I'm running it from the cache drive? During setup I was able to manually enter directories, and it seemed like it worked just fine, but now when I go to add existing shows, I don't see a way to manually enter a directory. Why isn't the cache drive viewable within this version of SIckbeard?
  13. The networking speeds seem more than sufficient, I can read at 75-85Mb/s from the NAS. It's not a small streaming box or a nuc, it's a computer albeit an older one Athlon quad core. Is there any log somewhere that can tell me more about if it's unRAID or the client?
  14. I appreciate all the responses, and no at this point I'm willing to try anything. Yes I've tried different players and it seems to be on the server end. The thing that really bugged me, was that unRAID didn't really tell me anything was wrong with any drives. I did all the smart reports, and really didn't see anything at all that would lead me to believe something was wrong. How did you figure out it was a combination of your parity drive and a data drive?
  15. About 1 month ago, I noticed XBMC buffering every once in a while randomly. It's a gigabit network, and unRAID is negotiating giga speeds. I had thought I had it isolated, and that only content on one very old drive was the problem. It seemed only content from that drive was the issue. I got a new drive, replaced it, and rebuilt the drive from parity. And STILL content from the BRAND NEW DRIVE is buffering as well. Where do I even begin to find out what's happening?
  16. After looking in the syslog, I did not see the drive as recognized. It was the darndest thing....the drive is plugged into a SATA 3 in 2 drive cage, and the connection was enough for the power lights to come on, but not for the drive to be seen. Adjusted the brackets of the backplane, and off to the races. Thanks for quick response, I ordered the Pro Key anyway
  17. I have a plus registration key, a parity drive, 5 array drives, and a cache drive. One of the drives is starting to fail. I wanted to preclear the disk BEFORE I took the other one out of the array, but when I do an preclear_disk.sh -l it shows no available devices. Is something up with my drive? Or am I not seeing it because I've maxed out the number of drives I can use? I would think it would still let me preclear one, just not add it to the array.
  18. This script ran ok for me once. Now with subsequent times I run it, I get "rsync failed to set times". What am I doing wrong?
  19. Got it all working! Thanks so much for the help. Am I the only one who thinks this could be much easier using drop down menus through the GUI?! There HAVE to be other people who want their deleting automated and aren't linux experts and want to try unRAID. It seems pretty simple.
  20. No thank you so much! This is pretty damn close to what I am trying to do. I can redo the directory names like this, and I can leave the * and commands as they are I believe because I DO want to delete directories and everything else. And you're saying adding that putting a line similar to that in my go script and putting the file in cron.weekly will run sunday at 430am, which is fine as far as timing goes. I see the last two lines are removing the library info from XBMC. I don't know exactly why, but mine seems to update and remove broken links without having to do this. Right now I'm using a program called belvedere on another computer to clean the files, so if I can get this working I'm not dependent on another computer. Does this file in cron.weekly have to have any particular extension? Or just be chmodded to be executable and it will run?
  21. So how would you rewrite one of those lines? And how to add is as a cron job and how to put it into the go script?
